Michael Reis | 25 comments A silver tongued person comes to a point in their lives where they must battle their pride. It's rare that they face it literally, and much rarer for the silver tongue to win. Tim is a middle-schooler trying to fight his way through bullies, insecurities, and obsessive-compulsive tendancies without troubling his family. However, when Tim's tongue turns to silver and he finds people are forced to obey his every command, his life changes forever. Can Tim and his rag-tag team of other hidden heroes battle the evil Patrick Ride and rescue their families? The only way to find out is to read the 250 page completed Young Adult novel "The Boy with the Silver Tongue" by Michael Reis.

I'm Mike, and in a way, I'm Tim also. I haven't been published before, nor do I have the academic or otherwise professional accolades to make up for it, but I do have one heck of a novel here, it deserves a read. Growing up, and even now, I've read a plethora of Young Adult novels and this is my third attempt at writing one. This novel closely relates to "Michael Vey: The Prisoner of Cell 125" by Richard Paul Evans, "The Law of Nines" by Terry Goodkind, and "The Perks of Being a Wallflower" by Stephen Chbosky. My book differs from these works in that it is brutally honest. Modern YA novels seem to sugar-coat the world, and while my book isn't so far off skelter that it would scare a YA reader, it is reality. Another thing that makes this novel truly unique is the drastic slingshotting from almost comedic fantasy to heart icening reality that I believe will truly appeal to any reader that enjoys all those "what if" scenarios. I wrote this novel as an extension of myself, and that shines through each word on every page, I encourage you to give it a shot.

Above is my query for my novel! Seeking beta readers for the first three chapters.
