Ashlee | 6 comments I only have a few details, I will try to get them right.
The beginning of the book the Hero is standing at the altar awaiting his new bride to be when a lady bursts through the church doors and claims to be his wife. She had read about him getting married and rushed to the church to stop him from committing to someone else. Anywho I believe the heroines name starts with a L. Loraine, or Lilly. The ending of the book is also The hero standing at the altar awaiting her. He is scared she wont show up. I could be mixing two books with the ending. I know the First chapter is her barging in on his wedding day. Please HELP!

Ashlee--I deleted your duplicate post, since this one has a bit more info.

Did you not read the book? Or is the beginning and ending all you remember?

When did you read/learn about this book? How old do you think it is? Do you have any memories of the cover? Where was the book set? Do you think this was a modern writer or an older writer? (For instance, in an old Sherlock Holmes, Conan Doyle has something similar happen, only both bride and groom had secret first spouses.)

Ashlee | 6 comments I read it maybe 2-3 years ago. No cover for the book. A modern writer. At the time I was into reading Julie Garwood, Eloisa James, Lisa Kleyps, and Johanna Lindsey. Any of the modern writers who fall into that category could be the author. I Think it was a stand alone book. I am not 100% sure though.

Sue Elleker | 1054 comments It's Mary Balogh-One Night For Love.
"It was a perfect morning in May . . .
Neville Wyatt, Earl of Kilbourne, awaited his bride at the altar-when a ragged beggar woman raced down the aisle instead. The cream of the ton saw him stare, shocked, then declare that this was his wife! One night of passion was all he remembered as he beheld Lily, the woman he'd wed, loved, and lost on the battlefield in Portugal. Now he said he'd honor his commitment to her-regardless of the gulf that lay between them. "
It's the first of her Bedwyn series.
