(I have entered 2016+ 2015 already and 2014 )
and while typing.. did you mean just posts or real different threads per category -as it has so many years on each...?

We were posting at the same time.
Thanks for the separate links for the Glauser. If you could start a new thread for the children's award, as that looks to be a different award, please?

Debütroman
Debüt – Bester Erstlingsroman
Debüt
I think these should be consistent.
Sometimes authors like to say "Best" (Bester?) when only sometimes the award is for Roman (or whatever, just not prefaced with Best). It seems preferable that the Glauser awards are:
Kriminalroman
Debütroman
Kurzkrimi
but I'm flexible. Which do you think readers of these book expect/prefer?

Was pretty surprised the award isn't there at all - and yes an own thread for it would be definetly appropriate.

Debütroman is debut novel in english I assume?
Erstlingsroman could be paraphrased with "first novel of someone" and I wouldn't except that as an award category except that's explicitly named like that.
And "Bester Erstlingsroman - Debüt" is just nonsense because it's just doubled for no reason, you would use either Erstlingsroman or Debüt(roman) not both because it's the same.
I personally prefer Debütroman over just Debüt because for me it just reads not so nice when it says "Friedrich-Glauser-Preis for Debüt" I like the "novel" (which is "Roman") behind it to make it kind of ...nicer.
And for the crime novel category. They call it just "Roman" on the previously awarded page but "Kriminalroman" on the actual year page - I do like Kriminalroman more because we do use "Roman" quite often just for romances.
Kurzkrimi is ok (Krimi is just the short form of Kriminalroman aka crime novel)
Yes I think the "best(er)" is redundant as the Glauser is only awarded to one book and there is no 2nd or 3rd place - just one which is automatically the best.

Do you mean you note that some books are not on GR?

Came across some on the nominees (and the first Kriminalroman winner) and added some already"
Ok, thanks. I just added a Kindle edition to a book already here. I've been checking because some of those imported with English as the language.
Are you adding the award, or just getting the titles in so that I can do them? (I want to make sure I refresh the award page if you are, but no problem if you are not.)

If you need help with the Kriminalroman part then just say something - I think I'd be more confident doing them then the shorts ;)

If you would like to work on them, I can start looking at the shorts.
2000 winner is added and was next to work on the nominees, working backward as we discussed. But isn't it very very late for you (or early, depending ... )?

No, didn't do any other shorts - wasn't sure if that was correct the way I did and didn't want to mess up several entries only because I think I'm correct ;) so stayed away there.
Will look at the Kriminalromane later :)

It looks right to me. I will not be using für before the story name and hope all you Germans will forgive me.

and two where I didn't find any other info at all besides name and author on the nominee list
but am now in 1994 - working upwards
and these early 90s books from Grafit do often have the wrong cover on amazon - often a way later one ... the corporate design of the publisher just wasn't the one on these covers.
early 2000s https://www.amazon.de/Tod-auf-Rezept-...
early 90s https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/3...
(they had these kind of structured looking covers on all books)
but abebooks sometimes has it - although there are sellers with the later one which comes as a stockphoto and the quality of the older often isn't that good.

I have been having to add almost every one of the anthologies for the Kurzkrimi. Mostly I found more recently published ones, rather than the first editions. I finally posted in the feedback thread complaining that apparently they aren't doing imports from amazon.de. So Moloch piped up and said they aren't importing from amazon.it either. It's a pain in the ...
Thanks for working on these. Let me know how it goes. I'm glad to continue with the Kurzkrimi, but, as you know, I'm going to have very little time for GR the next few days.

I'm done with winners and nominees from start to 1999 so could fill in some nominees if some are missing.
If we're done here I could look through the anthologies and add them if they are missing in the database

*sigh* german books are really often missing covers and info :/

which is the short story she got the Glauser nomination for - should we give the award to that book instead of the anthology?

Yes. Thanks.
I was doing winners and nominees as I was going.

I think that has something to do with page turns. As I added some winners, the nominees would get pushed down, so not caught up in that page turn bug. But thanks!
(And nice new avatar!)

Do I understand you got the others and this means we got them all?

so If you're done with the Kurzkrimis we're done yeah :)
or are there some anthologies I shall try to look at on the weekend?
(The avatar should just be a placeholder but I'm struggeling the sunflower photo I really wanted so the marble cake is a pretty good placeholder :D)

The anthologies I couldn't find were not found with a Google search even. A magazine was one. I'm sorry, I didn't save which ones.

I'm not too concerned since these are for short stories and many many story awards are among the missing. Should an author/reader need it added, perhaps that person could provide the anthology and we could easily (and happily) add it at that time.
There are 3 categories
- Kriminalroman http://www.das-syndikat.com/krimiprei... (they do call it Kriminalroman on their 2017 info page and on the overall only Roman - as it is a prize for crime novels Kriminalroman would be the correct term)
- Debütroman http://www.das-syndikat.com/krimiprei...
and Kurzkrimi (crime short story) http://www.das-syndikat.com/krimiprei...
under the larger presented winners are always the nominees listed.
