Masato motioned for Lizzy to follow him. "Hurry. Pretty soon Kuro'll be getting out his knife."

As Masato predicted, Kuro pulled out a switchblade from his pocket. He laughed maniacally. "HEY, CAN I CUT YOU, ROSE? IS YOUR BLOOD RED OR IS IT DIFFERENT BECAUSE YOU"RE A FIRE ETHERAL?"

"Funny, I was about to say the same thing!" Kuro says apathetically. He slashes the knife through the air. "Nice."

(PFFT)

Kuro pulls back his arm and prepares to slice Lizzy's neck.

Masato snaps and the knife explodes, drawing a sharp yelp from Kuro.

Masato walks over to Kuro, who is now trembling and hunched over, clutching his hand.

"Kuro, what time is it?"

Kuro looks up at him. "No."

"Yes."

Kuro sighs. "It's nice time," he says reluctantly.

"Hey! Mrs. Nancy! Calm down, you're gonna hurt him! I know how to calm him down!" Masato says frantically. "I almost had him back to normal!"

Kuro seems upset. "I-I thought it w-was n-nice time n-now..."

Masato hurries over to Kuro and embraces him. "It's alright, it's OK, Masato's here..."

Kuro whimpers something.

Masato looks over his shoulder. "You all OK?"

"I'm sure," Masato says confidently. He rubs Kuro's back. "Just do not provoke him again or I may not be able to. I'm gonna take him outside, that'll help." Masato pulls back from the hug and starts leading Kuro out by the arm.

Blake walks into the library, picks out his favorite beanbag, and sits down. He starts sketching while drinking his usual Starbucks coffee.

Blake uses the wind to turn the pages in his sketchbook, and he shows her the drawing with the word "Air" in the middle.

Blake sees the burn mark and grows curious.

Blake blows wind and makes her hair fly over face. He sticks out his tongue.
