Developing tactics for a scene

Tactics, tactics, tactics is where I begin. The mind-bending use of tactics on an imaginary battlefield is the best part of writing combat fiction. In GALACTIC MARINE CORPS SNIPER TEAM - Deploying to Hell I use the sniper team as the centerpiece. I have friends who were snipers in various wars and they helped on the tactics. What we came up with was the triangulation targeting by enemy snipers as a difficult tactic to defeat. I use three enemy snipers with two being the rabbit while the third is the snake waiting for the high value strike. Later novels will branch out to other personalities in other combat disciplines while the snipers remain the centerpiece. Book two Battle lines will have large space and terrestrial battle scenes.
