Nik Krasno | 19865 comments As we can probably smell a new year approaching already, what literary piece especially impressed you during 2017?

Scout (goodreadscomscout) | 8079 comments I've read a couple lately that impressed me. If you want something you can't put down, read Before the Fall by Noah Hawley. If you want to read something that will surprise you with its depth, read Beartown by Fredrik Backman.

Scout (goodreadscomscout) | 8079 comments I'm reading The Evening and the Morning by Ken Follett. This is the prequel to Pillars of the Earth, a bestseller several years ago. It's set at the end of the Dark Ages and is good reading.

The Water Dancer by Ta-Nehisi Coates was about the Underground Railroad and much more about slaves in the South. It's a good read.

Each to their own 🤷‍♀️ I have just been reading The Three-Body Problem, which won a Hugo, and...I have stopped. It's not the science, it's the one dimensional characters.
