Recommendations from my read list:Wuthering Heights
The Name of the Wind
Harmattan (destructive wind in Arabic)
I read Daniel Fights a Hurricane a few years ago and it was pretty good. Alternatively, you could also read it for the mental health prompt.
I haven't read this one yet, but it's sitting on my shelf. It might be time to pull it down. Snowblind

Snow Flower and the Secret Fan is a well-written book. Really enjoyed it.

Read "Gone with the Wind" years ago with another book club. It's a long book but loved it!
Just finished reading Natural Disaster: I Cover Them. I Am One. by Ginger Zee (ABC's Chief Meteorologist). It was a fast, easy, and interesting read about her life's journey.
Finished
by L.M. Montgomery-- 2 starsNot enough of Anne Shirley in this one for me...

I read Odd and the Frost Giants by Neil Gaiman for this prompt and I adored it (but I love most everything Gaiman does). Arguably, the best part is that if you want to use a different book for each prompt instead of doubling up, it's only 8 chapters and can easily be read in a few hours. It's written for younger readers but not exclusively, as it can be enjoyed by all.
I read Bone Dry. The book is set during a drought which plays a significant role in unearthing the mystery. So am thinking it would work for this prompt?

At the Back of the North Wind by George MacDonald. This is an old fairy tale story written by a Scottish minister. The north wind is an actual character. It would be a great story to read to children.

Linda wrote: "Do you all think this would fit the prompt? I'll Be Your Blue Sky"Yes, most definitely.
Is Icy a weather condition? I'm thinking of reading Icy Sparks by Gwyn Hyman Rubio for this one. Do you think it fits?

For people who like poetry, I HIGHLY recommend Slow Lightning by Eduardo C. Corral. It's a really beautiful collection of poems that reflect on the chicano experience and queer love among other topics.

Hey Britany.. had no idea you were doing the Popsugar challenge.. and I also never thought of rainbow as being a weather element.. thanks for the idea!

I really want to read Thunderhead by Neal Shusterman, but haven't been able to get a hold of it yet. I ended up reading Season of Mists, which is the fourth Sandman graphic novel. It was more plot driven than some of the early volumes, which i enjoyed.
Ian wrote: "Would Sunburn count here?"Mmmm....I don’t think so. Sunburn is caused by the weather but is not a weather element like rain, wind, storm, snow, etc. But you could use it for the antihero/villain or song lyrics prompt (name of an Ed Sheeran song) which is what I used it for.
I think so. It has Sun in the title even though it is a compound word. I used Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farms for another prompt but felt it would also fit into this one.
Crumb wrote: "This might sound silly.. but can someone tell me if storm is considered a weather element?"I’d say yes definitely. I used The Storm King by Brendan Duffy for this prompt.

I agree with Jennifer. Sunburn isn't 'weather'.
I've been wanting to start the Dresden Files series, so I'm using Storm Front for this prompt. Loving it so far!
