The Chapter Conundrum (Stacey) | 404 comments I definitely made it a non-fiction prompt for myself because for me the whole point to the challenge is to diversify my reading more and I pretty much never read non-fiction!

I also know someone posted that they wanted to fill every prompt this year with non-fiction as they didn’t tend to enjoy fiction as much.

Like Teri said, it’s not like the Popsugar police will come after you; you do you! 😁

That would work, but it's not quite that limited. I think some people are also using books where a side character is an actual person. And, it doesn't have to be the historical fiction genre necessarily--some of the ones based on Jack the Ripper and such are more in the fantasy/sci-fi genre. Technically I think even Dracula fits here because it's (loosely) based on Vlad the Impaler.
