You're supposed to put another space between characters I believe. So one should be Paul^D.^Williams, and the next should be Paul^^D.^^Williams, etc. Or maybe Paul^^.D.^Williams. Where ^ is just a space.

The extra spaces should be before the surname, so Paul^D.^^Williams should be the second author with that name.
I can't find any evidence that the Irish journalist uses "D" as a middle initial. And we have many Paul Williamses. So he is now Paul-6space-Williams.
