When she showed up at Lizzie's without Sam and was all so concerned. At first I did have a little suspicion about Sam, but couldn't see someone who thought of Lizzie as his daughter could endanger her like that. When a little more of their history was revealed it became obvious that Charlotte was just using Sam to get close to the Dare family.
I didn't trust either of them from the beginning. When Charlotte let herself into Lizzie's room on the ship, I knew she was up to something. I also thought Sam planted the snake at Lucy's house.
Like Anita, I never trusted Charlotte. Going into Lizzie's room with the story that Sam was ill was the first clue. I has my suspicions about Sam at first but they faded quickly once it became clear he didn't tell Charlotte about the scepter.
