Book Review: Hole in My Life

The autobiography Hole in My Life written by Jack Gantos is an amazing book that gives the reader an insight on the life of the author Jack Gantos. Jack Gantos focuses on a specific time in his life, the time he got arrested for helping sail a boat with a ton of hashish to New York for ten thousand dollars. Gantos talks about his decisions that led him to agree to sail the boat. I really enjoyed this book. I couldn’t stop reading the book. This book makes you want to continue reading to know what happens next. I think the book does a really good job in showing the life of Jack Gantos. The book teaches us a valuable lesson: making one bad decision can ruin your life. I would recommend this book to anyone that is in high school. I don’t think it should be read by younger kids because of the drug references but besides that, I think everyone should read it.
