Sounds pretty promising - I'll have to look her up!

I've got too many favourites to list all of them, but I'm currently very keen on Laura Lam - her Micah Grey Trilogy is a really inventive fantasy series set in circuses and theatres (with a non-binary protagonist), and she's since written some excellent near-future/virtual reality science fiction.

Well, as far as queer protagonists go (and they do take some finding, sadly), I can also recommend Moira Fowley-Doyle's Spellbook of the Lost and Found, Anne Leckie's space opera novels, Emma Newman's Planetfall, Emmi Itaranta's The City of Woven Streets, Corinne Duyvis's Otherbound, and anything by Kameron Hurley.
