How did the last chapters of Part One work for you?

Chapter 14 - (view spoiler)[ I was surprised when Adam said that he was going to find the murderer and kill him. I guess I can't blame him. I can't help but think that this second murder, like the first, has been blamed on Adam - not that he did it, but that his actions (or lack of actions) made them possible. He certainly blames himself, and this time, he's going to take matters into his own hands. (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 15 - (view spoiler)[ In the first chapter, we were introduced to the killer who called himself "the prophet", but it's actually Adam who was "The Prophet" when he played football at school. I have to add that there's a bit too much focus on football for my taste. Although Kent stresses to his players that it's not about winning, he's pretty focused on it. (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 16 - (view spoiler)[ The meeting between the two brothers was pretty tense. They certainly know how to push each others' buttons.

I'm back to the murderer calling himself "the prophet" in the first chapter. So he spent time in jail, learning from killers. Is he Adam's former teammate (can't recall his name), the one who the landlady called to do maintenance on the house where Rachel was killed? Did he call himself "the prophet" because of Adam in reverse transference? Did he idolize Marie's killer and emulate him? There are lots of questions at this point. (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 20 - (view spoiler)[ I think Kent is pushing Colin too hard. It's understandable that Colin wants normalcy, but he has to become accustomed to a new "normalcy" in his own time and his own way. Kent suffers from that idea that what worked for him, will work for others.

Adam is crossing the line with Rodney, framing him so that he comes to him to post his bond. I don't think that Rodney is the killer. His personality is so different to the one we met in the first chapter. I think if he was the killer, he'd know that Adam was bluffing. But then, I think Adam knows that and is expecting Rodney to lead him to the killer. (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 21 - (view spoiler)[ The killer is focused on Kent. Why? I wonder if he met him when he was doing his outreach program at the prison. Did he see Kent's claims that he was able to forgive as a challenge to prove him wrong? (hide spoiler)]

Chapters 13-14 Adam (view spoiler)[ swearing to murder "the culprit" fit his gruff personality. In his line of work, he has probably seen so many people escape justice. (hide spoiler)]

Kent's reflection on his (view spoiler)[own football plays and the realization that the excitement was about coming back from taking a beating, makes me think that he may turn vigilante himself. (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 15 The brother's meeting (view spoiler)[sure exposes their conflict in beliefs and actions and guilt. There is deliberate effort from Adam to irritate his brother. (hide spoiler)]
