Umm.... I'm not quite sure what to make of that story, Jim:o)
Morning!
I was so deep in my kindle this morning that I missed my train stop. Thankfully Northern Ireland is small so I was only 2 minutes in the wrong direction when I got off and the next train was 5 minutes later. I was 15 minutes late for work with a cheer me up Starbucks stop included.

Me too! if K left any for me.
Morning! Planting stuff out again later this morning. Flower arranging this aft but I'll have to dip out half way through. Emergency shopping trip. We have a card for our friend - birthday Saturday - and were going to get a present tomorrow. Then we discovered they're going to take the weekend away - going tomorrow morning. Oops. Enjoy your break, Alicia. I never fancied any of the Alexa thingies. I suspect they're easy to hack. Anyone could be listening in - to when you're there and when you're not. Suspicious old biddy.
It's lovely to have you back again, Jud!
Jim wrote: "It's just one of those stories that has trickled through my life :-)"Such a random story. I wonder what kind of life you would have had if you had not unleashed your slurry tank and had subsequently been kidnapped by that lady...
I keep a notebook of those kinds of stories for Kitty and Nathan. Nappy explosions and all. Mostly it is filled with ancedotes like the day Kitty got upset because the fairy dress with wings that she was wearing didn't actually help her to fly.
I assume you're saving them up to embarrass her when her first unsuitable boyfriend appears :-)But yes, it's surprising the stories that I get caught in the peripheries of and sometimes even get to discover what's going on.
Getting kidnapped by a lady merely introduces a chap to a different range of stories ;-)
I have no intention of waiting until a boyfriend appears on the scene, by then I'll have embarrassed her so often with them that the notebooks will be superfluous because thay'll all be committed to memory by everyone in the family.
Have a lovely trip Alicia!Had a great, if long and rather tiring day.
We took the kids on a field trip to

Morning alls. Just back from photoing the sunrise and tweeting again. Not much happening, just a jet off to New York which made for some interesting juxtapositioning.TGIF
Morning all will post later about my appointment. Sun is shining, 10am deadline, food shopping after work, popping to the vet and maybe picking up my ring
Morning!I forgot my headphones today, I went for a 7.5km run last night (the first run of the year believe it or not). I've left my headphones somewhere stupid and not in my bag so now I can't listen to my audiobook *sobs*
Another warm, dry morning. When will the papers start screaming about a drought? In other news, Kay's appointment has arrived for an angiogram next week. Off later today for more blood tests.
Morning all. Off to an open day in Blyth this afternoon, which involves one too many bus journeys for my liking.
Someone has sent me a friend request and included a link to an illegal downloads site where (supposedly) I could download a book from one of our authors.Stupid.
I've flagged them, of course.
Patti (baconater) wrote: "Careful, you. ;)And like magic, the friend request has disappeared."
funny how that happens :-)
Lovely day here, car passed its contrôle technique (MOT ) now it’s off to the opthalmalogue for his eye test & new specs. After that there’s nothing important for us to do.Great niece’s baby is in hospital for a bone marrow biopsy under general anaesthetic,They’d booked a well deserved holiday in Cornwall but had to cancel. So sorry for them. The little boy is a real sweetheart, so smiley and happy even though he’s not well.
Well, mixed appointment as expected – he did just think he was fitting me for orthotics, I explained the problem, he did lots of prodding and suspects I’ve got capsulitis, which is inflammation of the capsule surrounding the toe joint, but need an ultrasound to confirm, normally they clear up themselves, but as mine is still swollen/bruised after 3 months, it will need a steroid injection into the joint. Hopefully the appointment for the ultrasound will be in the next fortnight, but if I need an injection, that will be another appointment!! He says the pain in my ankle is a result of walking in an odd position for so long, very relieved my neighbour was wrong and it’s not my arthritis, and hopefully the injection will cure it. I did at least get a set of orthotics, which are better than the insoles from Amazon, apart from the funny smell. That's annoying Jud, hope you find them. Good luck for Kay Will. Naughty person Patti. Fingers crossed for baby Lynne, poor thing.
Ive just poured myself a stonking bug rum.I'm so fed up with rude, self absorbed, manipulative people.
Yeah, I'm too pissed off to to bother correcting that typo.
Also, it's sorta cute.

But Bug Rum deserves to be a thing

Made from distilled beetles? I've heard of stranger things.
Ugh that picture is bogging! Have had a pissy time recently. Parents aren't settling, always some crisis going on, last night's involved Dad completely going into one with the carer and Mum joining in. Carer rang me in a state of some distress saying it was her job and she'd done it for years and felt terrible but Dad was sitting in a soaking nappy telling her to fuck off any time she came near. He hasn't slept for 7 nights and as a result neither has anyone else. Dr has been, steps have been taken to sort it out, light on the horizon but meanwhile all are crotchety.
In the midst of a stream of phone calls McOther walked quietly into the room, put a huge glass of wine in to my hand, gave me a big smile and tip toed back out again. Then he put our son to bed. I love both of them so much.
Also on the up side my writers group was on today, there were only two of us - there are only ever three - but the lady who came is in a similar boat to me over parents. I read her this week's blog post (goes live tomorrow) and it made her cry. It was a bit of a surprise.
Desley, I'm so glad you have some answers, even if they aren't necessarily the ones you want! Hope the foot calms down and you're sorted soon.
Will, glad things are happening with K. Hope you get some answers soon.
Cheers all

Feel free to give us blog post previews anytime, Mary.Gotta say you lot are always a tonic to my soul.
You make me laugh and also make me count my blessings when things feel too much.
You also make me peer deeply into the bottle of rum before pouring another, just to be sure there aren't any floaters.
