I thought it might have been "site" test, you know, as in THAT "site" test... We wouldn't know much about it GL. Although, goodness knows why Tim would feel the need to share that with us but despite my absence over the last 18 months I know this group well enough to not be surprised at anything

it's also an anagram of M.I.T.
Kelly, been meaning to ask, as Liberation Day is a public holiday, what happens when it falls on a weekend?
Not the best day, really. Had K hauled off to hospital with chest pains just after lunch. She has angina and an anomaly in her heart beat pattern... now spending the entire night fastened up to a heart monitor and not happy about it.
I know what that's like - the hooked up to a heart monitor all night bit - no fun. My sympathies.Still better than worrying about it all night.
At least here, they kind of ignore YOU, and watch for the monitor to do something alarming. Hard to sleep.
Oh criminy, Will. I hope she's okay.I was knackered last night too, Mary. Went to bed at 9. Up at 3. Grrrrr
It's 'we beat the Germans' day. Going to a friend's place for lunch.

Will - sorry to hear about K. Those heart monitor things are horrible. Best wishes across the ether.Good morning all. Today the gas man cometh to fix the central heating problem that he didn't fix the last time he cameth. Not too clever in these steamy days for the radiators to be coming on, even though the thermostat is saying no.
Hope everyone has a good one.
Morning all, struggled to get to sleep. Got a 2 hour meeting with our MD, explaining how we are achieving our business plan. Sun is trying to shine. Hope Kay is OK Will. Good luck with the gas man. Enjoy your day off Patti
Thanks for the good wishes, guys. Today is for ultrasound scanning and such stuff. And for a specialist to stare at the traces of her irregular heart rhythm. Good luck with the gas man, Will.

Morning, all. Meant to rain today, but the firecast was already wrong about that last night.Hope K's okay, Will, and that it's good news from the scans.
Morning!I hope K is feeling better today, Will and it's nothing too serious.
I stayed up too late last night on my latest sewing project, I get really absorbed in it when it is going well. But my bobbin thread ran out so I called it a night after that. Then, of course, Nathan woke just as I was settling down so it was midnight before I actually got into bed.
Sending you caffeine vibes Desley.
Good morning all. When French public holidays fall on the weekend they have to just suck it up, they don’t get a day in lieu in the week but when it’s a Thursday they often bridge it with the weekend and take Friday off. . I don’t know if jersey does the same.

funnily enough I knew what it was before I clicked on the link. It's brilliant :-)
Hope K is on the mend and feeling better, Will. Must've been frightening. Desley, I tried to reply to your post earlier but when I pressed "post" I got reams of gobbledygook!
So, when Liberation Day falls on a weekend you don't get another day off in place of it. The take is that May 9th is the day the island was liberated and that is the day all the celebrations take place. Most businesses and shops are closed today.
My in-laws are coming round for lunch as an early celebration of my father-in-laws 80th. His actual birthday is Saturday but they are flying out to Spain that day. Hope it's nice enough to sit outside.
Good luck with your meeting.

You know me too well, Jim!
I'll be off to the hospital shortly. The concern for Kay is that the cardiologist might not be able to see her today, adding an extra day at least to her stay
Fingers crossed they are just being pessimistic and lowering your expectations so if he doesn't see her today you won't be too disappointed (or should that be disheartened? - see what I did there?)Realistically they are just being realistic, consultants never seem to be available, even when they say they will be.
Yes, big group hugs to K!Pleasant couple hours out at lunch but I had no desire to make a day of it.
The walk home has left both my arms covered in hives. Hopefully the antihistamine I just took will kick in before I scratch all my skin off.
I'm feeling decidedly out of sorts.
Think I need an hour alone with my kindle.
Thanks Kelly - I thought that might be the case. I get that quite often when posting off the tablet. Glad you are feeling better Patti. Hope the specialist can see Kay today Will. Our 2 hour meeting turned into 30 mins, and only that long cos we were chatting about other stuff - the group after us took 1.5 hours.
I hope K is sorted out and back home soon, Will. I spent a night in hospital when I had heartbeat irregularity. I ended up with an echocardiogram, a week-long heart monitor (now that messes with your sleep) and a 24 hour BP monitor. They never decided what it was. Still happens occasionally but I ignore it. As a doctor once said to my husband, 'Have you had it before? Well, you've got it again.'
As so often, I echo what Kath has just said, including the heartbeat irregularity and the not knowing what caused it. I now don't have decaffeinated tea/coffee. Most of the time... and my heart notices if I overdo it. Let's hope it turns out to be something Kath's husband's doctor might say - and nothing more serious.
Fingers crossed for K, Will. Reading cures all ills Patti I reckon.
Had a day off from the hut today, was supposed to rain, but it hasn't. I've spent most of the afternoon painting puffins.
Meeting my all time gardening hero next week :D

Evening all,Sending positive thoughts to you and K, Will. I hope she gets to go home soon.
Had lovely day in Cambridge with Ally. Went round the botanic gardens and then went to Patisserie Valerie for lunch.
Thanks for the thoughts, guys.No consultant today, sadly, but K is now on a proper cardio ward so hopefully in Morning rounds she'll get seen.
Hope she's able to sleep tonight and can come home tomorrow, Will. Not working today. Must sort the Tupperware cupboard today. I've been putting it off for weeks.
Morning all, looks bright but cold wind. Sorry K didnt get seen yesterday Will, fingers crossed she can come home today. Glad you had a good day Lindsay, you need it
Morning alls. Lovely day here again. Making the most of it with another walk later. New Runner beans loved the overnight rain. Me too so long as the wet stuff carries on overnighting
