Aw Lynne - what a cutie. I don't have children but, considering how we spoil our 3 cats, that is probably quite a good thing. Will, re the house - what will be, will be (don't all sing at once!) but here's hoping you get this damn thing completed. You don't need the hassle. Take care.
Ooh, I've just realised it's been really sunny and my cheek isn't tingly! I had a disturbed night sleep so eye feels grainy though

I still don't know the stroopwaffle story.
Thought I'd have the day off but got a call just before bedtime last night. Better than at 6:30 this morning, I suppose. It's covering EAL, so I don't mind, really.

The stroopwafel thing is a joke with a friend in a different group. We both love Stroopwafel s and it became a running joke for a while.

The problem is that once a badger is in residence, under UK law, that place is a badger sett and you cannot disturb it. So all you can do is attempt to lure it out, because while the place is a badger sett the list of things that cannot be done there is pretty big
Morning all, woke up at 5.30 with a headache and couldn't get back to sleep! Podiatrist at 9.20, hoping to get an answer. Dry and bright out.

GL can be easily lured out by gin. Or so I hear.
In other news, the Cd s i'm releasing have been mastered, printed and handed to Parcelforce within 48 hours of the raw data being uploaded to their website. Why can't Createspace, Lulu or Ingram Spark be that efficient?

Well - yea hah - Jersey has got its sunny hat on. Finally! It was boiling yesterday and hopefully the same today. (I am at work looking at the sunshine through the window!)
Well, as suspected my foot was above the podiatrist’s remit!! They suspect as it’s swollen/bruised 8 weeks later, that it is soft tissue/tendon damage, which needs an ultrasound to confirm – apparently the doctor can do that, they just never think of it!! So being referred to the bio mechanics section, which will be able to do that, and assess it – she said that it could take up to 4 weeks, but to go even if better as there may be things they can do to help my bunion. One consolation is the podiatrist can sort out ingrowing toenails, so not a wasted journey and because of my arthritis, I’m entitled to open appointments for those
It was cold, grey and dismal here this morning but it's a lovely evening now. The temperature must have gone up at least ten degrees. If it's like this on the weekend, I'll be heading to a patio to have a beer in the sun.
Lovely day at work. I taught, lemme see, six different age groups.
I'm nothing if not flexible.
And I get to do it again tomorrow!

Builder came today, they re-felted my canopy without realising my neighbour had pointed out some rotton wood on the bit holding it to the doorframe when the main bloke assessed it, so he's having to come back out tomorrow!

And they will be stressed a bit by the change in routine, won't they? I thought cats were more independent than dogs.
Morning all, jolted awake at 3.30, sat funny on my foot so had to limp to the landing where I had left my drink! Didn't really get back to sleep. Couple of deadlines and a meeting, builder coming after work and got a 32 mile round trip for Lucy's acupuncture! It's better that they are staying at home Alicia, one will overgroom while she's away.
Morning all. Hopefully a bit milder today, as the puppy showed his displeasure with the hot weather yesterday by vomiting all over the house.
Morning alls. Another brilliant day here in (very) sunny Cornwall. Don't worry I'm not telling anyone.
Morning, all. Been out for birdseed for the cockatiel, teak oil for the garden chairs, and (more wool - whisper it softly!)
Patti (baconater) wrote: "I wrote a great long post this morning.Where the hell did it go?"
The post or the morning?
Well that was fun. I was halfway through a post and it crashed so forgive me if something strange turns up later. Dental appointments this week followed by an ME flare up that hurt so much that I couldn't even watch Star Trek. Went to bed early and doing a bit better today.
The first of my storytelling CDs have arrived. It will take some time before I stop just staring at them.

They won't tell you stories if you just stare at them.

Sounds like an eminently sensible thing to do with them. After all that work.

The post or the morning?"
Both.
The whole day, actually.
And I've no idea what the hell I wrote earlier, either.
I'm knackered. Dave suggested we get takeaway falafel on the way home and I said, oh no, let's stop at the veg shop and I'll make us a proper dinner.
Stupid, I am.
So now I'm starving and cooking and even more knackered.
Early to bed tonight, I think. And hopefully I'll sleep through until morning for a change.

Yes, diagnosed in the mid-1980s but I did manage to control the symptoms with rest and vitamin supplements enough to stay working. Flare ups are not too common fortunately but when they do come it's pretty horrible. I sympathise too.

The word for today is Badger. I had to come up with a name for a dog in the story I was writing today and Badger just popped up before I had even gone back and read earlier posts. Weird that... we must be the telepathic badger group. :)

Amberleigh is coming up to 18 (on the 30th) and doesn't always wake up in time.
Hi all,I hope everyone is doing ok and enjoying the good weather?
Sorry to hear about your foot Desley, i hope it feels better soon.
Dave, after dinner last night...You relax. I'll tidy the kitchen.
Me, just now as I was about to make breakfast...
Why did you only put most of the dishes in the machine and why the FUCK did you not turn it on???
I could absolutely spit.
Morning all, sun is blazing and it's only just after 7am; having to pinch myself to remind me that I'm living in Scotland. But I'll take it, have a good day everyone.
Morning everyone. Finished night shift yesterday morning so yesterday was a writeoff. Thought I'd have a good sleep last night, until Narla tried turning around on the window sill in front of the open window and fell off... twice. Housework day today, lots to catch up on, but if I get it done this weekend I've got time to do other fun stuff this week when I'm off :)
Morning all, sun is shining. Dont want to do much housework. Neighbour said she might go to Tesco, if she does I'll tag along. Builder touched part of the canopy and it just crumbled, so am probably going to have it taken down.Sorry you've had a flare up Lisa. Naughty Dave Patti!
