I’ve booked an optician appointment for this afternoon but it was hard – the receptionist was very dismissive, even when I said I have light sensitivity – suppose I should be glad it doesn’t appear serious!!

You've had far more than your share of eye problems. Being dismissed when you have real concerns is so irritating.
Well, the optician was lovely and said the fact its going into my cheek means its nothing to do with iritis but unfortunately can't explain why its not back to normal, although I do take longer to heal due to my health issues so hopefully thats it. Think I'll be wearing sunglasses more often

Wow, that is a great idea Kath!!!
The pesky mice around here get dispatched fairly quick. One of our boy cats is an experienced mousekateer. Our little girl cat can't be bothered to summon up the energy. You've been through a load of hassle and bother with your eyes, Desley, so hope it can all get sorted.
OMG Will. Hope you are feeling a bit better now.Sorry to hear you still have problems with your eyes Desley. Fingers crossed it will be remedied soon.
I had a most disagreeable evening yesterday. About 8pm horrible thumping bass and caterwauling began to emanate from down on the Bulvar. It concluded with 15 minutes of fireworks that nearly burst my eardrums around midnight. For some odd reason, I've woken with a headache.
Morning all, sun is shining for the first time since Monday (fog since then) I've had a bug and now seem to be losing my voice, which is awkward as I'm giving a talk on Saturday. Hope it'll be back to normal by then.Friend's memorial service this afternoon. Third one this year :(

they start coming far too quickly don't they :-(
It certainly makes you appreciate the fragility of life, and the importance of cherishing people while you have them. :(Morning. Out for a meal with the ladies tonight. Meanwhile - off to the laptop.
Morning all. Turning into a teenager. Still in my PJs at nearly 11 in a morning spent on the sofa watching Star Trek original series on Netflix.Hope everyone is fit and well. Virtual hugs for those who need them.
Will you get much writing time in, Will? Always look on the bright side of life... (You're all whistling now!)

Bought a treadmill yet, Will?I'm considering putting the a/c on.
Got the windows wide open but there's no breeze.
My foot feels different today, a bit tingly like you get when things are healing, but walking is really hard/painful. Night before last Lucy jumped on it when she came to join me in bed, was not a pleasant experience! Meeting this morning, don’t think boss really addressed issues but everyone else was happy. Drove past two young girls this morning wearing mid thigh length dressing gowns and seemingly bare legs walking along the road!! I know I love to spend time in PJ’s/dressing gown but it’s rare I leave the street (normally rounding cats up if I do!!)

Afternoon all. Had to give a presentation this morning but I scraped through somehow.Glad you're recovering, Will.

A treadmill? Surely Will can afford electricity, rather than having to generate his own!
Except he said sunny.I hear Fleetwood Mac just lost their Lindsay . . . you could apply for that gig . . .
Morning! Plumber expected this morning to assess several jobs in the 'everything goes wrong at once' category.

Haha! I know how THAT happened! It's how my baby got to be so old that's mystifying...

Haha, I know the feeling well. My little lad is 54 now.
Afternoon Everyone. Just flying in to see you all.Not a lot changed for me in this neck of the woods, but hope you are all doing well. I have moved on to beading now, most of my time. Not jewellery but animals, etc.
The weather is mostly dry but overcast, and not very warm either. The Daffodils are out in all their glory but everything else is still waking up. A bit like me really.
Done a bit of catching up, a lot of new folks now but glad to see some old friends too. Changed over to the audible books now. Wish there was a group for them here like this one. I have listened to some cracking books would be nice to share.
Take care all...
Pat, you can always share your audio book love with us!Just filled my tummy and planning to go to bed early.
Sitting and watching kids work on their laptops is exhausting!

You adopted him when you were barely a teen.

I've never approved of child brides!

Lovely to hear from you, beading sounds interesting, any pics?
I’m in the doghouse. I overslept this morning. It’s the first time I’ve not woken before the alarm clock and the first time I’ve forgotten to set the alarm in the first place. It wasn’t too disastrous as I was out of the house and running in 15 minutes but daughter was a bit late for work. I’m making the excuse I’m full of cold again. That’s 5 this winter and I never usually get a cold.

Hellooo Pat! Lovely to see you back.End of holiday blues here. Got home spent afternoon unpacking put some washing on we had supper and then McMini hurled all over the hall carpet. Feel like having a shower all over again but there isn't enough hot water yet. Then when I finally finish and come downstairs it's after 10 so husband has buggered off to bed.
Would have been nice if he'd stuck around so we could finish the evening on something other than vomit mopping but there you go, we can't win them all.
Joy.
