had a few cornflakes and we'll doubtless get a bacon buttie somewhere on the road :-)
Just waking up somewhere a few miles south of Burgandy. Should hit the ski resort this afternoon. Forecast there is very cold but looks as if it will be warm and lovely on the way home. Woot.

Just looked at the forecast. It's meant to rain every day until we leave.Sad to see Anita Shreve has died.
Morning all, can't believe what the weather is doing this morning. Shouldn't be allowed. Last weekend it was Spring. In other news, I've just got my lease through for Beach Hut no 5 (Lamb) for the summer. Yay!
Don't know which is worse, your ear worm or the Bhangra Dave is inflicting on me.I wonder if I could fling his iPod as far as the channel...
Morning all, raining here, only housework and admin planned but might revisit the idea to wash the front door. Had an email yesterday saying my zooplus delivery would be here Tue, got up to one saying it would be here this morning! Bit of an upset tummy today, odd as foot is less painful. Also part of my canopy over the door has fallen off, not sure if it is fixableEnjoy Sheffield Jim. Great news R. Enjoy MT

Sad. Only a couple of years older than me! I've enjoyed a number of her books.
Morning. Wet. But I'll dry out...

Good Morning.
Rain this morning. So I decided not to go and watch the gym team 5k challenge. We have a snow warning for Monday. Not looking forward to that.
Making leek potato and celery soup for lunch don't know what it will be like.
Mum should be starting her new course of treatment next week.
Getting on with my challenge I am reading a paperback copy of a book I read years ago. I found it on Amazon for 1p. Of course the postage was a lot more.
And I still don't like the keyboard on the Fire for typing messages on Goodreads. It always takes three times as long as it should.
      Here you go, Janet.https://youtu.be/EK_LN3XEcnw
I didn't realise the video was so porn-y.
I'm sure your soup will be yummy.

Good Morning.
Rain this morning. So I decided not to go and watch the gym..."
Leek potato soup is one of my favourites, and celery sounds like a good addition.
Is it just me being a dunce, or does anyone else keep clicking the reply button for the post above the one you actually want to reference? Maybe it's something I'll get over in time...
Ive haven't done before but now you mentioned it I'll probably start. ;)We went down the island and I made a profit in the arcades. My bag of 2ps is now twice as full!
I’m broken, my turn to be in the wars. I was trying to get a half eaten toy off the pup and he decided it was a brilliant game of chase me. He leapt from the sofa onto a very heavy chair and pushed it into my toes so hard it’s base scraped up my shins as well. Black toe, big swelling and its right where I had surgery. Memo to self, never cry in front of the dog. He hurts more when he leaps on me to console me. Ouch ouch ouch. My sister went to a caravan rally near Stratford on Avon and the river burst it’s banks. The water was up to their friends caravan door, they were luckier and on higher ground. She said it was really bad. They’ve just got home.
Well, my neighbour realised she forgot to check the fridge when we went shopping yesterday, so we went to Aldi via the local curtain factory shop, so didn't get all todays list done but did persuade my neighbours lodger to put my voile up so not all bad, although he also looked at the lightbulb and that needs an electrician. Despite my foot being painful, I'm determined I'm going to drink tonight. Sorry to hear that Lynne, hope you haven't done too much damage. I haven't played on the penny machines for years Patti
Patti (baconater) wrote: "My bag of 2ps is now twice as full!"If you've got lots, it might be worth changing them at a bank, or in a change machine, cos they're only legal tender up to a value of 20p (which means, any more than that and shops don't have to take them).
I brought pennies as well as 2p but there were no penny machines anymore!Loads of £1 machines. No way I'd go near those.
Shit, Lynne. I'd have cried too.
At least you've time to heal before bikini weather sets in.
Freaked out yesterday because I realized my passport is expiring and I might need it. Spent an entire day's energy getting everything done - from application to putting it in Priority Mail at the main Post Office to save a few days transit time. Lost the rest of the day to staring at the wall. Then, when figuring out a renewal for my handicapped plates this morning, the form asked when my license expired - and it was today! So was husband's. You can only imagine the line (last day of the month) at the Motor Vehicles office - and another day's energy down the drain.
I rarely move that fast - and then I must pay after. But that's how I get distracted from writing, when chores that cannot be set aside LEAP to the top of the To Do list and demand.
Oh bugger, Alicia.I've gotta say I love google calendar. It allows you to set alerts for all sorts of stuff.
Was rather sad when Dave's mother's birthday came up last week but was brilliant when I got a reminder that my debit card was expiring so I could get a new one in my hand before panic set in.
The trick is remembering to set the alerts.
Patti (baconater) wrote: "Oh bugger, Alicia..."When I was in charge of paperwork, before the husband retired, these things didn't happen: the mail brings reminders in plenty of time, so they didn't need to be on a calendar.
I may have to start paying attention again!
Desley (Cat fosterer) wrote: "Thanks for the interesting info Tim! Sorry about that Alicia, hope you don't pay too much"Already staring at the wall. Can't be helped.
Must rest for tomorrow Easter Mass. Don't want to miss that.

I never use coins when I pay in a shop. Drives Dave nutzzz.
That's also why we have bags n bags of coins from so many countries.
Poor guy had fits making sure there were no old pound coins floating about last time we were here.
Morning all, pain not good but the alcohol didn't stop me sleeping which is good. Plan is for housework, glad I'm up early, might take a while! Neighbour is cooking tea and I'm going round tonight to watch the remake of The Generation Game. Don't blame you for not using coins in shops Patti, I've had cash this weekend, it's a nightmare, especially with the new springy notes! Hope everyone has plenty of chocolate, I'm hoping for no eggs as I'm still eating christmas choc.
Morning each, Not sunny. Not Eastery. Just typical spring greyness. However, I've done some cooking, autocondimented myself (splashed gravy all over!) and had to change my trousers already. Better get some reviews written. Have a good one.
We made an abortitive attempt to shop. The Internet told me the supermarket would be open 10-4 today. It lied.Wanted fresh fish for dinner. Now the choice is either freezer rubble or dining out.
Nice April Fool from Minecraft. They said they launched a new texture pack to make it look better, and its HORRIBLE. Very simplified, as if done in Microsoft Paint. Had me scratching my head, and changing all sorts of settings, then I remembered the date.

Just as well we didn't get any food in this morning. I'm sp full of popcorn, I can barely move.I really should check out minecraft some day. The kids talk about it constantly. A few of the boys are completely obsessed.
Just been out and had a lovely dinner with 3 friends. They all had fish and chips, and I had grilled salmon with prawns and calamari and mussels. Yummmmmmm!

Had a productive day, only 2 things not ticked off my list - the lightbulb needs an electrician and decided against washing the car with the weather.

I feel quite green. I’ve OD’d on chocolate. I also managed to stub my black bruised toe on the table which gave me so much pain I had to wipe my eyes dry again. While I did this the dog took the opportunity to lick my dinner plate. He’s getting above himself and will be in training next week. I did manage to drive to daughters to give them some Easter treats before it rained.
Sang for the Easter Mass at the Princeton U. chapel - ended up being the only soprano - four part harmony is our thing, so it was physically taxing - and the best celebration of Easter possible.

Good morning.I've still not had any Easter chocolate. Perhaps I'll buy some if I see any reduced this week.
Morning all. The Mem made chocolate torte yesterday. Like cheesecake but without cheese. And with a hidden layer of caramel.Very very naughty.
I'm tidying the home office/ writing room/ man cave today. Anyone lend me a pinny?
They are skiing, I am about to start writing, just popped in to say hello first! It's ironic, isn't it, that in order to access my internet banking sites I have to turn the firewall off! Surely the whole point of a firewall is to protect you when you're visiting internet banking sites. Weird. If you like free sff books, this week's blog post is about a couple of giveaways. https://mtmcguire.co.uk/2018/03/31/ba...
Cheers
