Two sets in a day is some going :-)

Yes, it was. I’ve had a lovely afternoon. Went out for a walk round the town, which was looking lovely in the sun, and enjoyed watching all the day trippers looking for a parking space down at the front. Came home and pootered around in the garden in the sun, kept company by a foggy bummer (that’s Doric for bumble bee btw - great word) that was as big as a dinosaur. And of course my robin. Lovely to see them out and about :)
Well, had a very lazy afternoon, good job I have another 9 days! A local factory has been on fire, unfortunately it's an old chemical factory, seems no one is too badly affected fortunately. Just been to my neighbours, there is a lot of debris on the car, so locked the door for the night, cat is not happy!
Morning all! Trying to adjust to the clock change over here. I've been visiting family in manchester over the weekend, hence the radio silence.
Morning. I'm off to the supermarket (sadly) to see if the youngsters that work there have remembered to put their clocks forward.
Morning all, had a disturbed night sleep, not helped by the worry my fitness tracker wouldn't adjust and affect my alarm! Luckily it did, but foot so bad I nearly fell over getting out of the shower! Fundraising today at the new Pets at Home store, then a bit of food shopping. Really blue sky here despite facebook showing pics of the smoke settling after yesterdays fire.Hope all the lambs are settling Jim
Desley (Cat fosterer) wrote: "Hope all the lambs are settling Jim..."nothing since 3pm yesterday, I think they're all exhausted by the excitement
But yes they're settling in, one of the black pair already as a new mum all of her own :-)

Second of the week?
You're just cake greedy, aren't you?
I'm just finishing my breakfast protein shake, like a good girl, and you mention cake. Now I want cake. Fortunately, there is no cake in the house.
Well, am exhausted and in pain, but had a good day, we only took £67.71, but that is around average for Pets at Home. The manager came in on her day off to meet us which I thought was lovely, and the staff kept checking if we needed refreshments. Then I got some goodies from Sainsbury's including cake, diet will start at some point!! Refusing to do any housework, will have to do some in the morning before we go for our spa dayDon't blame you Patti, although slightly shocked you have let cupcakes get past their use by date
Morning everyone. The Scion of the House missed the last train after dinner last night, so this morning saw me (voluntarily!!) scraping the ice off the car and doing the station run at 7.00 am. It's been a few years since I've felt the bite of the early morning air - and not exactly the way I'd thought to spend my birthday morning! Still, it was a very good evening.
Morning all, disturbed night sleep but feel OK. Not sure I'd call today a spa day, we are getting there at 12, and treatments booked for 2. Dry here thoughHappy birthday Elizabeth. Enjoy shopping Patti
Patti (baconater) wrote: "Go back to bed, Jim."seems like a plan
I was thinking that I might go for it, probably about 10pm tonight, sheep permitting :-)
Morning, each!Sunny day. I can take this. Except they reckon it'll change. Expect the unexpected, they say.
Lovely day here and all, although it's a bit cold. Busy busy, last four days of term and last four days before holiday!
Successful shopping trip, thank gawd.Dave has a new suit and dead sexy he looks in it, too. I managed to find a smart jacket rather like the queen would wear. No, I shan't be wearing a hat.
Not looking forward to having to wear tights. I've managed to avoid that for years. And heels. Sigh.
M.T. wrote: "Why not go for square-toed Queen Mum style flat court shoes? They'd be OK wouldn't they?"I did look but I resent spending the money on shoes I'll only wear once.
I've had the shoes I'm going to wear so long, they're back in style.
Patti (baconater) wrote: "Thinking about it, I bought them when we lived in Kendal. So I've had them for 17 years. Weyhey!"barely worn in ;-)
True, Jim. Ive worn them that infrequently. And when I do wear them, I slide them off under a table at the first opportunity. And I'm dead chuffed, I found Dave's black tie. I knew it was here somewhere.
He reckons it's at least 30 years old. :D

a new one!
I got mine for my Grandfather's funeral which I think was about 1978 ;-)
Hi everyone,I just wanted to let you know about an exciting opportunity for authors of gritty crime novels. My publisher is currently accepting submissions from authors in this genre. I've posted about it under my author thread if you want to check it out. (Sorry, I don't know how to do the link but it's under Meet the Authors - Heather Burnside.)
Cheers,
Diane (Author: Heather Burnside)
