Looks like it's going to be a dry day. I hope I've not jinxed it.

Where was I? Oh! Good morning!

Oh Kath, that image is in my mind.
Heading back to London tonight and home tomorrow. Hope the weather's okay at Heathrow and Gatwick.
After last meeting ends, in about an hour or so will see if I can sit in the sun for a bit before heading to the airport. (I said sun. Haven't used that word for a while.)

Not been a good year so far :(

I've decided to stop my antibiotics half way through the course, my toe is still painful and swollen so not worth the nausea and stomach cramps. Looks like I'll be back at the doc on Thu

Desley, you've had a terrible time of it. Really hope they can get it fixed.
Stuck in Athens overnight. BA put me onto an Aegean flight tomorrow so I have a chance of getting a connecting flight back to Jersey. Anyone flown with them before?

Thanks Patti. Initially BA tried to rebook me onto the 18.40 from Athens tomorrow night, which would have meant I'd get back to Jersey on Thursday.
Eventually they agreed to get me on the Aegean flight and I'm so grateful they did. At least I have a good chance of getting home tomorrow.

I do enjoy the lack of traffic noise in our flat here. Don't realise just how bad it is in Baku until you get away from it.
Now, if Dave would just stop coughing...
I'm hoping he's fit to leave the flat today.

Hopefully the year will only get better for you, Rosemary.
I did a quick shop yesterday evening, to find that Asda have put their 6 packs of Walkers crisps up from £1 a pack to £1.65!!! A swift detour into B & M came up with the goods where they're currently still £1.
Hope this pm is positive, Desley, and your foot problem gets resolved soon. Sounds miserable.

Sat waiting for the garage man to collect mum's car to take it for an MOT.
I've brought some work home so once the car has gone I'll get on with that. Mum is knitting or at least thinking about it. Her hand is really bruised from the scan she had last week. The chemo on the following day also used the same hand as they couldn't find a vein in the other.
If this thread hasn't been deleted Patti might find it interesting.

The amount of dust in my house is amazing, but seeing as the gas man is drilling into the walls I’m justified in just looking at it till he’s finished. I’ll only have to do it again tonight. Despite my darling’s fear we didn’t freeze overnight without heating. That man is a gold medal worrier.

Think I'm feeling the barometric change - we're on a winter storm watch for the 3rd? 4th? time this month - and they say we're to get 6-10". The husband marched the snowblower off to a friend's house yesterday because it was non-functional, and brought it back working. That's a relief - at 70, I don't want him moving a lot of snow by hand.
It is funny to be sitting here at 7 am our time, eating a leftover chicken sandwich and thinking about the million things that have to be done before I move to a place with no snow in the winter. Forever.
Husband brought the daffodils in - they'd just get buried. It's spring, darn it.

He's hoping for the end of an era.

some were at the front of the queue when 'cute' was handed out :-)

I hope there's going to be a photo :-)

There's the next sign of spring.

Going to do some baking tonight, trying to decide exactly what I want to make!!

My younger brother got married on Dec 23rd many years ago. Was quite lovely. In a huge glass greenhouse covered with snow with candles floating in the meandering river that flowed through it.
My sisnlaw wore white velvet.
I wore a down filled coat.

Timely.

Very. Although I've been booked on a while, the last few weeks were part of the discussion!

That sounded fabulously romantic until we got to the down-filled coat (although it was funny!)

One of my good friends is in Georgia for a few days to celebrate Novrus. She's enjoying it very much, loving Tblisi, looking forward to a wine tour today, but...
The expensive boutique hotel she's staying in sounds like Faulty Towers.
She had to change rooms yesterday because of noise and bad a/c.
She's flooded the room having a shower this morning.
Puts such a damper on a hard earned holiday.
I'm looking forward to her review.

That wedding sounds lovely Patti. Do hope your friends holiday improves
