Morning all, had a disturbed night sleep thanks to my foot, ultra painful this morning. Quiet day fortunately.

Good morning, it’s bleddy cold here, there’s snow on the A8 motorway near St Maximim -not much it will clear but I hope there’s none tomorrow morning, French driving is not exactly good at the best of times.

My pup has an amazing sense of smell, he’s been sniffing a place on a rug every morning when he gets up, I looked closely to see if there was a stain or a smell -nothing - but there was a tiny lump, I looked under the rug and found a little baby tooth of his stuck in the backing. It must have been there since last September, very impressive. That’s two he’s ‘found’ this week. Shows my housekeeping skills up doesn’t it. 😁
 It is pleasantly warm here.
It is pleasantly warm here.Enjoyed watching 2 parts of a drama called 'Keeping Faith' last night - it is shot in Carmarthen and Laugharne with cracking camera work of the estuary, the bay and Laugharne castle.

Actually, they're a very sweet bunch. They were clamouring today that they want me to keep teaching them next week and their regular teacher should teach Dave's class.
Told them to not let her hear that!
I wanna tell her myself. ;)
Limping that badly colleagues are finally noticing!! Had a meeting as soon as I got in, would have been nice to have some warning so I could prepare. I saw a trailer for Keeping Faith, put it on my list. Did enjoy the scenery in last nights Shetland

Morning all. Busy week involving a visit from mr dyno rod and a salutary lesson in the wisdom of not trying to rod your own drains. Naturally there's a blog post in the offing.

Having done The Dash many times myself, he, his folks and you, have all my sympathy.
Morning all, Dasley, hope your foot is soon on the mend, Kath, hope the funeral went ok. A lovely friend of Mum's of whom I'm very fond, has just had a stroke and is in hospital. I think it's that time of year when it's still cold and a lot of folks just think, bollocks to this, and kind of ... go home.

Morning all. I heard a woodpecker in the woods this morning, so it must be spring (despite the cold).

Well, there was little point setting my alarm to have a lie in today - woke up at 5.30 needing a drink, Lucy tried from 7.40 to 8.30 to get me up!! Got some housework to do, Pets at Home will be here about 12.15. Then might do some food shopping, or might just chill, not sure yet. Sun has just tried to shine

 Morning - oh, not morning!
Morning - oh, not morning!Jim, my husband's gran always used to say at this time of year, 'February fill-dyke' by which she meant it rains a lot this month and fills the ditches. As I understand it, the ditches to be filled are the graves. It's a month for moving on. It ties in with the other old saying, 'If we pass February, we'll see another Christmas.'
On that cheerful note, I'm currently editing then off out to flower arranging. Catch you later.
We finally have our Azeri police checks in hand. What fun that was!
We finally have our Azeri police checks in hand. What fun that was!Thank goodness we hired a fixer to accompany us. We'd still be lost in the bowels of a government building if not.

yes there are two levels to the proverb, the obvious, rain, and the deeper, death.
But yes, February is the longest month of the year
Enjoy your flower arranging

If you get lost in the bowels you'll end up in the sewer.
Glad to hear that Patti. My Pets at Home assessment went really well, and they are a really proactive branch so we will get a load of partnering with them, really pleased. Popping to the local garden centre now, before doing some of the charity admin, it's really cold outside. Another advantage is I've had to do some more housework, so won't have much to do over the weekend

5 years? Really? I've just about recovered from that one.
What a day. I’ve driven through Cote Rotie, Beaune, Maçon , Nuits St George and until 5 minutes ago all I had to drink was Lucozade. I had a glass of champagne before dinner and that was lovely. I also used the wrong travel bottle from my toilet bag and sprayed my head with Febreze instead of hairspray. Home tomorrow, it’s fine but very cold and the heater isn’t working on his side of the car, poor man was really cold but I had full blast hot air. I offered to swap and drive but that seemed to make him break out into a cold sweat.

Passenger-side heat doesn't work on my car, either. But driving takes a lot of energy; if the husband is happy driving, I don't get in his way.

     Blimey Tim that's grim.
Blimey Tim that's grim. Re months ... I love Feb, it's May that's awful. Two bank holidays so the weather's always shit and I get nothing done, and if the weather isn't shit, it means the rest of the summer will be. It's often colder than March, it's every single person in the entire world's birthday and it's looooong. I'm always broke by the end. And in my experience that's the month when people drop like flies. In 2012 two went in a week! It's not as bad as Christmas though.
Morning. At least it's above freezing indoors! (heating's broke again, third time this Winter, so of course there's a cold snap!) 3 jumpers & a dressing gown (good title that - it's for sale if you want it!)

Morning all, sunny out but phone says -3! Was naughty yesterday and bought 4 books, they are over 10k pages. Probably catching up on emails before a meeting, then hopefully meeting a trustee for some paperwork after work
