have a good one.
I'm just sitting here hating social media.
I do a blog tour which depends for its success on people reblogging the various blogs.
And what happens. Wordpress manages to 'lose' the reblog buttons!
I could spit!
Ugh, Jim, I'm sorry, that's a real pain. I think you can still do it but maybe they have to cut and paste the post address into a new one. Or is there a button you need to press somewhere to switch reblogging back on?

What I do is that I copy and paste half the blog post to be shared into my blog, and then leave a link at the bottom so people can see the rest
But it's a faff, and whilst I do it because it's my book that's being promoted, other people are less likely to go to that sort of trouble :-(
Afternoon all. I think I could do with Will's mug, after having already destroyed one keyboard with coffee so far this year . . .

MT. One is tiny. Like a sparrow. She’d banged her leg and showed me her bruises and i told her straight there was more meat on a chicken leg. Another has cancer and the third one is 47 kgs tiny but about 5 feet tall wears size 3 Laboutins. I love her to bits even though she’s a living Barbie, she’s a great friend. Still make me feel like a big stag as my sister once called me. Still, brightside is I won’t blow over in the wind.

But it drove home to me that those of us using social media to sell our books are reliant on systems that are managed by people who often don't understand their systems and haven't really got a clue what people actually use them for.

That's why I am so reliant on my mailing list. It's the only thing over which I have any control.
I read a tweet today that said that Nigel Farage looks just like what you’d get if Kermit really had banged Miss Piggy...

Morning! Catching myself up today. Lovely weekend away with two lots of cousins but we went because our remaining aunty is poorly. Prognosis not good. She was comfortable and happy, so we all feel better for going.

I hope that at the very least you dived to the ground and had to be stretchered off so that the other side got a free kick :-)
Thought the combination of magnet, bath and anti-inflam had helped my foot, as I could bend my toes this morning, but walking is still really painful. Do hope it is better by weekend, as I’m fundraising all day on Sat!!

Look after yourself Desley. Weather here isn’t brilliant either, it’s clouded up and looks like rain. I don’t want to go home yet either. Got to leave on Thursday though whether I like it or not.

Damn! Wish I had!
I was too concerned about my glasses to think of anything else. Thankfully, they were okay.

Yes I know entirely how you feel. During my entire school footballing career I refused point blank to head the ball, and played in my glasses.
I pointed out that they made me play rugby without my glasses which meant I couldn't see the ball to dodge it (or more virtuously attempt to catch it.)

'Never volunteer.' Old army slogan.
I think that's every army ever
I think that's every army everOdysseus probably muttered it to himself as he scaled the walls of Troy in the dark :-)
Oh and have you ever seen a hay knife used Patti?
I've got a picture of one over on the blog
I'll have a look later, Jim.

So sorry to hear about Dave's mother. It's a tough time for all of you.
Morning all. Sorry to hear about Dave's mother. Virtual hugs across the ether.

In so far as it can, I hope it ends well

Slowly and inexorably the people you knew and grew up with quietly disappear leaving you in a world of strangers

lady wife asked me if I knew somebody's name
lady wife asked me if I knew somebody's nameI admitted I didn't
She then commented I'd been chatting to them
I pointed out that nobody had ever introduced me to them.
Does anybody ever introduce anybody any more?
Yeah, would be nice if people would introduce themselves, even.
Yeah, would be nice if people would introduce themselves, even.I've had two parents wander into my classroom this week, assuming I'd know which kid belongs to them.
Dave was going to fly tonight but after speaking with his brother who spoke to the doctor this morning, he's going to wait until Saturday.
Better all round. This way I can finish with this class this week and take his next week.
At least he won't need to think about school if I'm covering his class.
And thank you for your kind thoughts.
And thank you for your kind thoughts. His father is the concern at this point. Dave needs to be there to support him.
