Good day all. Echinacea and whisky, Will MJ!Hope new job is going well, Will S.
We often have dolphins here. Never manage to see them yet!
Hive mind, I need a suggestion for what to cook for dinner tonight. Seem to be just cooking the same stuff on a rolling programme over and over again. Apart from last night, which was Surprise Lasagna.
Surprise Lasagna is what you get when you don't carefully label food storage boxes in the freezer, and you defrost some chilli mice rather bolognese.

it has to be done :-)

Hahahahahahaha!
I know what you mean about getting into a cooking rut, Nosemanny.I sometimes look at what I've got in my cupboard/fridge/freezer and do a google for recipes containing those items.
Another fun thing I sometimes do is google menus for fancy restaurants and then look for recipes that emulate the dishes.
What I ready like doing is just buying ready meals. :D
Dave keeps hassling me about going out for dinner on Wednesday. I really don't fancy it. I'd much rather go out on the weekend.
Told him he can bring home a takeaway so I don't have to cook, if he likes.
Yum!Grate the cheddar, chop the salami fine, mix them together, spread on bread and grill.
If you've got some sundried tomatoes and olives, chop them up and mix them in as well.
Soak the carrot in very cold water until it perks up and serve it raw for crunch.

Glad the job was fun, Will. Patti - ooh cheesy salami thing on toast sounds good.
Was shattered at work this morning. Felt worse when everyone made soothing noises and commented how tired I looked!
I perked up in the afternoon but now on the downward spiral. Will sit at the laptop for a bit and then head to bed.
Drove home tonight and it was still a wee bit light at 6pm - yee hah.
Be careful out there. I have the flu (and oceans between most of us), but I can't seem to keep my ****t husband from invading my air space - and the thing is spread by droplets and contact. I don't want HIM sick.I have the initiative of a dead clam right now.

pouring them out of the bottle into you? ;-)
Dave asked me the same thing, Jim.All the vodkas I put to stewing last fall were ready.
Got 14 kinds bottled and ready to drink.
Eggs at the ready Benjamin.Morning all. Grey and cold. Not sure if it's going to rain or sleet, but certainly one of them.
My freezer is too full of ice cream to have room for pancakes. I may just have ice cream with maple syrup instead.
Feel really achy and old today – foot is really painful, hands were sore walking in the office and our receptionist said I looked pale. No one can work out what happened with my order, but the company have been good and offered to re-send it. Looking forward to pancakes tonight, I get Nutella this year rather than sugar and lemon
No pancakes here. Don't think hubby has realised what day it is and I can't be bothered making them - so am keeping quiet. Tee hee.Brrr it's cold. Have taken the next two days off as have an editing deadline on the 21st and I have done so very little whilst I've bene travelling. So head down tomorrow.
Sorry you're aching Desley, this cold weather does not help at all.
Evening everyone, app's been playing up so I think I've missed a fair bit!! Hope everyone's ok, going to go back through and read it all now :)
My Facebook newsfeed is full of photos of homemade pancakes this morning, Tim. Will you make some today?I'm not usually hungry at this time of day!
Details on how the new job is going please, Will?
Suit n tie every day, is it?
Hiya Claire! Been wondering where you were. I can't stand the goodreads app. Never use it.
Good morning all.Yup, Patti, it's suit and tie. Train commute into London. An office full of commuters on computers.
I said I'd never do it again, but it's surprisingly bearable. Doesn't take long to get back into the swing of it.
Thats not something I could do, Will. Good thing we're all different.Did you get the problem at school sorted out to your satisfaction?
Morning all, dry but cold. In the office first thing, then get to go to Manchester for a seminar. Foot really painful, might have to increase meds. Then a fundraising committee and attempting to finish homing paperworkGlad the job is better than you expected Will
Morning. Computer day today. It's sunny at one side of the house and deeply grey at the other - so Lord knows what it'll do by teatime!
