Dear old BookHippo is trying to widen its drabble author pool. I've posted in the appropriate place but I know some authors come here quite often. Could you write a 100 words story (excluding the title)? It's a jolly good exercise in not wasting words! BookHippo is a free daily newsletter with offers, price drops and freebies and there's almost always a drabble at the end.
Jim Webster and Gaff have had them featured in the past. There's a link on the Drabble thread so I won't clutter up the Chat one.
Nearly lunchtime. What shall I have?

Salmon pink sky here. Rather pretty.
No excuses to not go out today, it seems.

Roast beast and rice pudding to cook this afternoon.

Love rice pudding - Yum - what kind of beast are you cooking?

A lovely hunk of beef from M&S we brought in our suitcase, Kelly.
Feeling a bit recovered yet?

I really can't see her playing football, unless she can wear a ballet outfit...

Ooh Roast beef followed by rice pudding. Any room at the table?
Feeling a bit more in this time zone, thanks.

Just went out in it to take Sal for a walk and it's thawing on the lanes

Walked .64 of a mile. I'll stick to that for a few more walks then up it to .76. I'll get back to 2 miles plus yet - as long as I take my time. Ankle's still a bit swollen so I want to take it easy until it's completely back to normal, but it felt so good to get out.

Everyone have a good one.

I'll see if I can rattle off a drabble or two in the next few days, but it's really busy at the moment with it being half term next week. Perhaps I can get a couple out to BH next week.

Off out in a mo to look for a new vacuum. The old one breathed its last on Saturday. Had to sweep!

Lovely here. I've got the balcony door open.
At this rate, we won't have any winter.
Found gorgeous leeks at the shop yesterday, so couldn't resist making a leek and potato soup. Smells marvellous.
Gonna relax a while before my lovely man gets home.

The snow is melting in what currently is rain.
Hope you're having a good morning, Will.
Better luck on the food front today, Lynne!

Used to see them sometimes on the way into work when we lived in South Africa - from the road into Cape Town from Hout bay.
