Yeah. And where'd she stick the eyes?I've cleaned the kitchen, put the dishwasher on and made a pot of tea.
You'd think Dave would be nice enough to lift his arse to pour it out, wouldn't you?
You'd be wrong.
Think I'll tip his cup down the sink...
Tea is the devil's sputum. I've been ranting again and I will try to post a picture of the pussy hat replete on the head of a rather pissed (English pissed as in drunk) MTM.For now here's how to be cool in a crisis! Snortle.

Back with pic in a minute.
Cheers

OK, here's a pussy hat: Be kind, it was late at night and I was a bit drunk and flushed with my success. Snortle. It's come out a bit big. Sorry that. It's a sort of #metoo feminist thing. A comment about Trump sparked some peaceful protests from women last Jan and they all wore these in pink, but I loathe pink so red and pale pink stripes is the nearest I'm going to get.

Hello there everyone. For me in Northern Scotland it's a day of sunshine, showers and wind! I'm meant to be writing, but you know what they say, the road to hell is paved with good intentions!
Well, I really wonder sometimes why I try and plan things on days, today is another that hasn't gone to plan, but for a very good reason - I've just got back from a home visit for my ex-fosters, who have been with us since last Feb!! If I wasn't a bit drained from last night's alcohol, I'd be drinking to celebrate, but I'll have a non-alcoholic cocktail instead - after my cup of tea, as I can't get warm today!! All rather sudden, his friend messaged on Wed, Thu he decided against a pair, last night changed his mind and today he's been to view them, bought all his stuff and I've done a home visit!! Last night went better than I expected, had a nightmare with the taxi, but got to the wine bar to find the person who is leaving had put a tab behind the bar, so didn't pay for a drink all night, and then got a lift home so a very cheap night. The bartender even found a way to make me like gin, but it clearly doesn't like me!! Possibly more the fact I had taken paracetomol for a headache before going out and then drank on an empty stomach. We trudged through the field and spent more time in the barn, which was good, it is at the top of a very steep hill so even wetter and windier than home, our faces were red!! Then treated ourselves to goodies on the way home, had a rhubarb and custard tart that was lovely. Was supposed to go for a walk with my friend but we ended up nipping to the local co-op for shopping instead, but got to have a natter and she has lent me 2 seasons of Greys' Anatomy, bless her. Just had to tie the food bins down, they were emptied yesterday so empty and it has suddenly got really windy.Have a safe journey Kelly, hope you are sleeping better Alicia. Lovely pic MT
Thank you everyone for the lovely comments about the hat. :-)Kelley, McOther was born in Kilwinning. :-)
Desley, that sounds like a helluv a day!

Yep! Wondering if I'm coming down with something, coughing a lot
Good morning!Eye-wateringly bright sunshine today. AND I slept in until 9am!
I'm aching for a coffee and I'm STARVING!
Morning all! Nice hat Mary, you look like you're aiming to misbehave :)Dressing up and off to a Private View at the Royal Scottish Academy this afternoon _ Elder Daughter's work is featured as a graduate 'one to watch'. I've got a couple of wee paintings in too - very exciting! *engage swanky mode*
Morning all. Wind and rain in equal measure - the animals are sulking and won't go in the garden.Love the hat, MT!
Morning all, been up most of the night with a fever and coughing, still have a temp after paracatomol. Glad my friend gave me dvds, have watched 5 episodes and now moved to the sofa. Was supposed to be doing housework and going out for tea, need to do some housework, foster cats were sick overnight
Yay! Love Mary's hat - and I can engage swanky mode because I know Rosemary!Catching up with reviews today. Tomorrow, I go in to edit another book. Stops me hanging about on street corners and frightening the horses, I suppose.
I'm in the completion stage of cooking a garlic infused leg of lamb, roast Mediterranean veggies, and couscous.Want it on the table before the stupid football starts.
Thank you everyone about my hat.. I am enormously chuffed with it because it sits with one ear up and one down naturally which amuses me hugely Was slightly alarmed to discover that someone in church is reading my blog, invective and all.Desley, I hope you feel better soon.
I've just put a knuckle of smoked ham in to slow cook in the oven and am now settling down to write for an hour or so.
Cheers
MTM
Thanks MT, Lucy is doing a good job of making me sit on the sofa. Very windy out, seems to have stopped raining though
Rosemary (grooving with the Picts) wrote: "Dressing up and off to a Private View at the Royal Scottish Academy this afternoon _ Elder Daughter's work is featured as a ..."How exciting, Rosemary. Kudos to your daughter!
Just scrolled back up to look at your wonky pussy ears and your jumper reminded me to put the thick woolly jumper I bought for the lady who sleeps rough on the corner into my bag. Need to get her some boots as well. Last few days, she's been wearing socks and sandals. She may have sold or had the boots I gave her in the fall stolen.
I'll give her a nice hot meal in the morning, too. Lots of lamb and veggies left.

How nice of you
There's no social network here. It's all grass roots. What bothers me is that people walk past the homeless to put down dishes of food for stray cats.
My sense of priority is different than that.
MT, what a small world it is.Desley, wow - that was some day you had.
Oooh Rosemary, very posh. Hope you all had a lovely time.
Patti, you really made me think there. A reminder to look after others when they need it. Thank you.
Been catching up on admin stuff all morning. Now about to settle down and edit. Feeling a bit overwhelmed as I have a lot of travel coming up. I am in London tomorrow, in the UK at the weekend and then off to Asia until the 10th. It may be even longer if I am needed to attend some more meetings. Phew.
Also need to get my organised head on as am only taking hand luggage for 3 days in the UK (at a course) and then straight on to at least 7 days in Asia (for business). Hmmmm this will take some planning!
Desley (Cat fosterer) wrote: "Good luck with all the travelling Kelly"Thanks Desley.
Patti (baconater) wrote: "Kelly. If you'd like to job share at any time, let me know."
I'd happily have you share mine Patti but I'd be terrified to share yours! Those munchkins would eat me alive.
You'd be fine, Kelly. Just carry lots of tissues and smile often.Best thing about teaching munchkins is that they learn in spite of our interference.

rock on :-)
What talented company you all are, group pat on the back for all of you. Stay well, enjoy the rest of the weekend. Are they really ‘ears ‘ on Mary’s hat or have I got the wrong end of the pussy hat idea?
They're clitorisis. Clitori.Little sticky out bits that feel nice when given gentle attention.
Let's call them 'ears'
For some reason, my mind went all Eugene Levy when I read that!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2IwV2... (treat like a GL link!)
Everybody staying in bed today?I'm making the most of my day off as I've been asked to work in secondary tomorrow.
English, my favourite!
Good morning. A bit bleary eyed, but otherwise present and correct.Well, present at least. Hope every is fit and well.
Morning, all! We've developed a new method for appeasing the puppy when we go to work - treats are sprinkled throughout the house, which means he now gets eager for us to leave instead.
