Well, I had enough inclination to tackle a decent amount of housework, just need to hoover and mop now. Starving though, opened the cheese and crackers for lunch, just had a sloe gin mince tart with salted caramel cream. We've had hail but they are saying we will get snow overnight. We also had lovely blue sky
The forecast here for tonight looks unpleasant. But still not as cold as where Patti's mother lives.
Keep it your way, Will.Dave made dinner. Seafood Thai red curry. Was delicious.
I'm going to sit here quietly in hopes he'll also do the washing up. I'm afraid to go into the kitchen.
Supposed to be -2 here overnight, which is chilly considering we’re only a bawhair from the sea.Visiting hubby’s parents again tomorrow, death certificate will be issued tomorrow so things are slowly moving along.
My neighbour downstairs told me today how much her bill from the plumbers was - £2400. He has also phoned her to ask when she was paying - the work was done a week ago. Added to the shared bill which we all got (split among three) they are looking for £4K for two days work. Neighbour is 95 and they’ve clearly thought she’d pay up without a whimper. Well they haven’t reckoned with her daughter, or her neighbour. They won’t like me when I’m angry.
Had a choice of 4 things from the freezer for dinner. Chose to order a pizza instead! With mini doughnuts for dessert.

Oh, they're taking the piss, they are.
I'm looking forward to hearing this story unfold.

I think I'd mention it to both your local trading standards department and perhaps even the police. If the Police think it's a bunch of wide boys trying in on with a vulnerable elderly lady they might just deal with them
Trading standards almost certainly will. (Well they do round here.)
I contacted trading standards with my missing parcel thing. It was surprisingly easy to make a complaint.
Gingerlily - The other Stroopwafel Sister! wrote: "Definitely do the pizza. My tummy is in a happy contented glow right now."Yeah, but I'll end up with pizza. And wings. And wedges. And cookies.
Then I'll sit here feeling disgusted with myself.
I've got hummous, salad and olives in fridge. I'll shove them behind the box of wine and order pizza.
I have a missing parcel now. An Post says it was delivered at 2:38. It wasn't, at least not to me. And if it was to one of my neighbours they haven't come around with it. I am VERY pissed off. I wasn't even expecting it until next week. Now I'm going to have to try and chase it up tomorrow.

Baked oozy Camembert, sweet Welsh butter on freshly baked whole wheat toast points and lashings of cranberry conserve with copious amounts of very chilled Pinot Grigio. *wipes chin*
Or
Microwaved ready meal and a pint of beer poured through filthy taps.
I'm gobsmacked Wetherspoons still have custom.

You'll have no problems.
Yeah, you have to contact the seller first. Here, I found the help page.

It's the same for Amazon.com, I'm sure.
Ouch ouch ouch. I bought a travel mug to take my favourite coffee to daughters in the mornings. It works. An hour later I burned my mouth. I need a minder some days. Pantomime this afternoon. Will be more of a performance getting there I think. Grandson is so laid back I'll need to start getting him ready soon. He'll take an hour to eat his lunch. He's going to have a big shock in January when he starts school part time.
Well, shit.My phone has finally given up the ghost and Dave is travelling.
Could one of you lovely people please send him a text for me?
Good morning all. Soggy outside, but otherwise well. The Best Boy is doing two hours volunteering in a local charity shop. Which means that the Mem and I can go shopping. And have a grown up coffee. Yum.The Costas yesterday was offering a black forest hot chocolate. Naughty but surprisingly nice.
Patti - do you still need a message to be sent to Dave?
Coffee pods? Tsk.I've just ordered a new phone. First one I've bought in 20 years so shouldn't complain.
But I will anyway.
Will wrote: "Good morning all. Soggy outside, but otherwise well. The Best Boy is doing two hours volunteering in a local charity shop. Which means that the Mem and I can go shopping. And have a grown up coffee..."Yes please!
I'll private message you.

I buy phones more often that you do!
Mine probably survive so well because they spend so much time switched off
The one that just died was a leaving gift from the school in Nigeria. It's served me well. Just pisses me off I poured wine into it a few months ago. It'd still be fine if I hadn't.Now I've got the hassle of having to register the new one in Baku when we get back. Dammit.
At least the place to do it is only a block away from the flat.
Morning all, had a lovely time at my friends, we had Chinese then her bro text to ask if he could pop round, so I said yes. Cue brother, new wife and two hyper children appearing! We then played a random game. Was -1 walking home according to my phone. Woke up at 8, it was raining, went back to sleep, got up at 10.45 and the car was white, although it appears to be raining. Plan was housework, admin and a walk with a friend, but its started snowing again! I'd go for baked camembert Patti. Hope your mouth is OK Lynne. I went for the Billionaires hot choc Will, hope BBITW enjoyed his voluntary work. Good luck with your parcel GL
Morning everyone! Had a really busy day at work yesterday, and pulled my back a bit on the last job, so I'm having an easy morning. It's snowed here (Yay!) but I've got to go to the shop for food and I wanted a mooch around the local shopping park. I've taken up bullet journalling so I'm hunting for supplies! Will brave the snow in a little bit, apparently the main roads are quite clear. Had a pizza last night, finished nearly 2 hours late and cooking was the last thing I wanted to do. Planning on getting a curry Sunday night (whoops) along with a nice cheese board. Looking forward to a nice night in on the sofa for NYE.

They delivered the parcel this morning. Someone had updated the status prematurely.
Having said that, it's good it went tits up here. No way I could have got a decent phone so cheaply in Baku.I hope I chose a decent one, anyway. It's a Samsung something or other. J3?
It had hundreds of good reviews, anyway...
Oh, and I've spoken with Dave. I put my SIM card into an old brick of a Nokia I found in a drawer. Can't kill those suckers.
And there was another parcel that they were confidently predicting would arrive today. Now I see it says "between Dec 29th and Jan 8th". Sigh...
We've driven into Edinburgh and back in a white swirl of big flakes this morning, which was exciting. Glad to get home again.I've never bought a phone, I just inherit them. Currently on an iphone 4, I think it is. Amuses youngsters no end.
I used to inherit them from a friend but he doesn't do the free upgrade thing anymore. That was years ago.I seriously considered getting an iPhone but I couldn't justify the expense.
