Benjamin Appleby-Dean (benjaminappleby-dean) Morning all! Treacherous dark ice around here, what with the pre-dawn light - I've already fallen over once.

I do more than 20 minutes work a day. Honest.

Lynne (Tigger's Mum) | 4643 comments Good morning., it was dry but now the rain is sweeping across. All you lot east of me (that’s about everyone) be warned it’s on it’s way.
Slept late, as it’s my day off but got to be there for 6 tomorrow so I’m justified. After all the stress and shouting at the weekend it’s a safety valve. He’s been very lucky with the dog and quite contrite. It’s nice to see an alpha male grovel. Hehehehe.
All peace and light now I really don’t like arguments and bad atmospheres. Life’s too short.

That was replying to the sun being out for 20 minutes. I would never impugn your work ethic, Will.

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Washing machine is sorted. Running it through empty now, then gonna get some pants washed!

Yeah, the sky is lowering here Lynne. You could have kept it, you know.

Checked Amazon and I had a message saying if the parcel isn't delivered by THURSDAY they'd be in touch.
Not best pleased, must say.

I want my £5 back, dammit.

They've moved Dave's mum from acute care to a general ward, it seems. Good news but that means dave can't see her until regular visiting hours. Shame he rushed off so early this morning.

Nevermind. At least the long drive up is behind him. Hopefully he'll be able to come home tomorrow.

Lisa Marie Gabriel (lisamariegabriel) | 1066 comments Sunny here still, I was expecting fog, but it is good. I am going to escape to the cabin for a couple of hours. The heater is running now to take the sting off. At the moment the short days make me want to hibernate. Good luck with Lucy, Desley. Hugs all.

Every year I count the days to December 21st. Really hate short days - I'm sitting here with the light therapy box. Even when it gets colder, if the days start lengthening, I'm okay. Two more days!

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Sun is going to bed here.

Makes me want to eat endlessly. So far, I'm managing to resist but I've got sushi in the fridge that keeps shouting at me.

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments My friend Alex is coming to drag me out for a prechristmas dinner this evening. Probably at Eddie Rockets. Mmmmmmm lots of cheese and bacon on everything!

Oh Flo, so sorry to hear this. And such a difficult time of year. It would be awful at any time, but now is particularly hard. Hugs.

Loretta (lorettalivingstone) | 419 comments Hah! You thought you'd manage to lose me, didn't you? I got myself locked out for a while (on my iPad) then couldn't find the group. Got confused and joined in with another thread and suddenly realised none of you were there so I eventually tracked your new thread down - just in time to wish you all a very merry Christmas.

The decorations are up, lights on both the trees and in the window, gifts almost all wrapped, yummy food tucked in all sorts of hidey holes. Now, I'm resting up to make sure I'm well enough to spend the big day with my mum. I had shingles last year and she banned me, haha. She's elderly and didn't dare risk catching them from me.

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Patti (baconater) wrote: "Can I have a burger instead, please?"

Ok, give me your order and I'll send it on.

Lynne (Tigger's Mum) | 4643 comments Think I’m about organised as well, just got to collect the turkey later in the week. I’ve just booked seats for the panto. Should be fun taking the Grandson for his first theatre showing. I’m sure he’ll love it.

Really pleased with the top half of Sarah's card but stamped the greeting on the bottom and can't decide whether to keep it or trim the card down...

We went to TGI Fridays in the end, and I had a Jack Daniels burger. Forgot to take a picture for you. It was yummy though. :)

Yeah, don't think I'll finish that hunk. T'was the wrong sort of cheese to have with cranberry. Should be a soft, creamy cheese, not crumbly Weslingdale. If I spelled that correctly.

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Good morning!

Woke at a more civilised hour. Better than 3am as I have the last few nights.

Groceries delivery this morning. I'll have to organise the fridge before it comes or it won't fit.

I ordered a stupid amount of food.

Will Once (willonce) | 3772 comments Good morning all. No ice to clear from the windscreen today, but it's still sparrows dark out there.

Everyone have a good one.

message 1239: by Patti (baconater) (new)

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments I'm really pissed of about the parcel. It's just silly now.

Now they're saying they attempted delivery in the middle of the night. Bullshit.

If it doesn't appear in my hand today, I'm contacting trading standards.

Lynne (Tigger's Mum) | 4643 comments Good morning. I love white Stilton. It's a regional cheese produced in the east Midlands area. The plain is wonderful but they stick fruit in it for Christmas and ruin it. I got some plain in my Tesco order yesterday so I'm in heaven. They say cranberries go well with Brie type cheese but haven't tried it.
Thick thick fog here this morning. Must look for my foglight. Never used it since I've had the car.
My poor great niece is still suffering but the baby is doing well at home. She's attached to a vacuum drainage pump which she has to carry as a shoulder bag. Shes still got an infection and will have an operation to close her wound eventually when she's clear.

message 1241: by Patti (baconater) (new)

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Baked Camembert with cranberry sauce with toast points is heavenly. Has to be the right cranberry sauce, though. If not homemade, tesco finest is good.

Glad the baby is doing well, Lynne. The pump sounds horrendous. I hope she's sorted out soon.

Will there be a lawsuit?

message 1242: by Patti (baconater) (new)

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Starving. Gonna wait for the bagels and cream cheese with smoked salmon that will be coming in the next few hours...

message 1243: by Benjamin (new)

Benjamin Appleby-Dean (benjaminappleby-dean) Morning everyone.

Some of these parcel companies are awful, Patti - I had Hermes deliver a package last week with 'FRAGILE' stamped all over it that they'd nontheless managed to crush.

Rosemary (grooving with the Picts) (nosemanny) | 8590 comments All shocked and numb beyond belief here - OH's younger brother died very suddenly and unexpectedly yesterday. Telling his parents was one of the worst things ever had to do. And my girls sobbing over the phone as I had to tell them that way as they're too far away. So sad

message 1245: by Patti (baconater) (new)

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Oh no Rosemary!

I'm so sorry!

Lynne (Tigger's Mum) | 4643 comments Very sorry to hear that Rosemary. It's very hard to take in when it's unexpected. Take care.

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Patti (baconater) wrote: "Serious lack of food porn from you lately, my dear."

Yeah, and I had 2 days of hotel meals last week. I'm slipping...

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Oh Rosemary, how sad. That must have been very difficult and painful for all of you.

message 1250: by Kath (new)

Kath Middleton | 23860 comments What a shock for you all, Rosemary, but it's worse for the person who has to pass on the news. :(

Morning. Sunny and mild here.
