Hello all!I've just booked a million meetings for April, okay it was only 16 but I had to book the rooms as well because you have to do that separately and you can't do it through the meeting invite. I'm ready to go home.
Trying to decide if it is too late to go for coffee and if I should just save the money instead.
Aftie! Only just got in - busy morning. Terrible about Christchurch. As my almost three year-old grandson says, 'What is wrong with people?'

Well, despite being sore yesterday, we got out to a few places and avoided the rain, I split the charity shop pile into two bags and took them round separately, didn’t come home with any books despite looking – can’t say the same for the co-op, came back with 4, but 2 are 2 books in 1! Not quite as sore today fortunately, really quiet day as we have no meeting, so no report to produce for it. Doing the food shopping after work, forecast is for rain all weekend, with a bit of snow overnight Sat/early hours of Sun! Still quite windy here, but dry at least. IT are taking our server offline for the weekend in an attempt to fix it! Our meeting room booking system is a bit like that Jud - ridiculous amount of hurdles. Hope you did get some more sleep Alicia. So sad about Christchurch.
I really can't get my head around the bitter bitter irony of a white Australian getting so angry about immigration :(We are battening down the hatches here for the forecast storminess arriving tomorrow. Or getting out our big coats as no doubt it will be another damp squib

Very wet and windy, glad I have no plans! I did most of the chores on Thu, so am finding things like dusting to pass the time. Hope it dies down at some point, so I can go and get some milk.
Morning. Just finished the preparations for lunch. It's for a friend's birthday. Smoked salmon mousse, roast leg of local lamb and CAKE!
Hey Kath, any leftovers you could lob over here?Brrrrr chilly here. Not helped by the fact that our boiler finally passed away about a month ago. So we're wrapping up in loads of layers and huddling around teeny electric fires at the mo.
Well, I mentioned to my neighbour that I was bored, so she suggested going out for lunch - we did wonder how bonkers we were when driving up the road!! Had a lovely lunch, was just debating whether we had room for cake when the owner came to tell us she'd just had a phone call saying there was a flood alert, so we decided to bring some cake home and set off! Roads were quite bad, so decided to nip to Lidl in the car for my milk, and the furthest I'm planning on going for the rest of the weekend is my neighbours house. Hope you get a new boiler soon Kelly.
Who cares about the weather now?Cymru Am Byth!
(I've been watching the Rugby, with the rest of the nation)

We're having some of the good days here, bright, sunny. Californians are commenting on the rain (too much) after seven years of drought, which seems premature to me. But the obverse is just as bad - you've seen them in LA, the huge concrete channels, big enough for movie chase scenes, for the excess rainwater when it comes.
Not raining any more, not as windy as it was, still not pleasant. It might have been snowing further over but frankly visibility hasn't been good enough to see the hillsSomebody did comment that there was some sport on somewhere but I confess I wasn't sure which
The rugby was brilliant. So was the sunshine here. We’ve been very lucky it’s been lovely. I just hope I’ve got a roof to go home to. Anybody seen the riots again in Paris? It’s really bad but not bad enough for the Poundland Napoleon to stop his skiing holiday. 😡

Morning all,Sorry it has been so long since i have been active in here. How is everyone?
Got a day of planting vegetables ahead of me and strangely i am quite looking forward to it.
Got a job interview tomorrow for a job much closer to home.
Hope you all have a lovely Sunday
Well, the weather is so much better today, and so much better than predicted, doesn't look like we had the expected snow, instead we have blue skies. Flood warnings have been cancelled, although one in the next village is still in place and that's uphill from here! Might be able to revise the plans nowGood luck for the job interview tomorrow Lindsay, nice to hear from you.

Hope the job interview goes well
If your weather is anything like ours, it's not a bad day for planting vegetables either :-)
Not quite so nice here today, bit sunny but we keep getting bits of fog. OH has just ordered his tea. I’m off to obey and make pancakes batter after I’ve done my ironing. What was Sunday supposed a to be? Day of rest - my eye!
Wonderful weekend away.Had the taxi drop us at a restaurant instead of at home as there was no way I was cooking.
Glad you had a good time Patti. I spoke too soon about the weather, about an hour after posting we had hail battering the window, since then we've been alternating between hail, rain and blue skies! Wind keeps getting up, but nothing like yesterday. Probably should have chosen to go out for lunch today instead, but the forecast was worse!

now that is style :-)
It has been an odd day, beautiful sunshine one minute and hail the next!Still, got my planting done outdoors and seeds started in the green house so alls well that ends ok. Let's just hope they all grow.
Glad you had a good weekend away Patti.
Wind has died down thank goodness after days of whistling outside but a dark spell this afternoon climaxed in hail. Now sun has come out!
Talked to two of our offspring this weekend, one near Albany, Neew York, and the other, our eldest in San Francisco, for her 33rd birthday.I insisted she thank me for not naming her Pat. She did.

Lawn cut here too, and a lot of planting went on as well. But now it's raining hard.
Morning all. Not the best weather this weekend, but we still managed to get out of the house. Let's see what the week has in store *rubs hands*. Time for coffee!
Morning! Sunny here. I'm off out to do some serious pruning in advance of tomorrow's green bin collection.
Kath wrote: "Morning! Sunny here. I'm off out to do some serious pruning in advance of tomorrow's green bin collection."cue chainsaw revving in the background
Whichever, one needs the appropriate training to use a chainsaw, not to mention PPE :)Nice day here. Got two loads of washing out and debating going for a third.
PTCs went well. I was finished at 11:30 then sat around for the rest of the day being bored. At least there was no staff meeting.
Sciatica started flaring up in the bath last night, sitting is uncomfortable and keeps making my bad foot go numb. At least we have cake today. Raining again! According to the local paper, the river levels were only 15cm less than when we had floods in 2015!Hope the internet gets fixed Benjamin

We came home on Saturday afternoon to discover granddaughter's 24 year old boyfriend enthusiastically wielding his newly acquired chainsaw without safety glasses and while wearing shorts and a tshirt. I had to take him on one side for a safety lecture...
Will wrote: "Rosemary (grooving with the Picts) wrote: "wielding his newly acquired chainsaw without safety glasses and while wearing shorts and a tshirt..."Gak! Is there not enough damage and pain in the world already? Sad part is that he'd probably get away with it for several times...
One of the things I like most about this place is that there will be NO more worrying about the husband on a platform with a chainsaw pruning bushes taller than himself and continuing to cut through extension cords. And that's with safety glasses and long sleeves and trousers and heavy duty shoes and gloves which saved him more than once.
