Urgh, really tired again today, fortunately I’m off tomorrow and don’t have anything for the morning so can have a lie in. Dragged myself into work early, and with being off tomorrow I can at least leave the housework. What a fantastic amount Jim, no wonder you are chuffed. Hope spotty boy is still bright today Lynne. Sparkle is very cute GL.

Sounds about right. 😂

He'll never be a White Elephant though I suspect he'll get squashed with cuddles.
Well if I happened to drop him in a bucket of bleach...No, of course I wouldn't do that. He's much too cute and cuddly.

we were well chuffed :-)
And it was a really good meal, proper cooking like Mum did, but only if your Mum came from Kerala
Well, of course I didn't get a lie in on my day off, actually woke up at 4.30! Hoping to get back to sleep when the painkillers kick in. Got some housework to do this morning, looking after my neighbours granddaughter for a few hours, then waiting for the fire brigade to install new smoke alarms between two and four. Might go with my neighbour to take her granddaughter back. Was supposed to do some decluttering but not sure i can fit that in!
Good morning, well it's not too bad here in Kent with some blue sky here and there.Decluttering... good luck.
I think we're in for another wet oneGood luck on the decluttering
I suppose you could tick that off your list when you hand the granddaughter back :-)
Been working over the weekend on getting house ready to put on market so haven’t been on as much as I wanted. Never sold a house before, so should be interesting. Found out the TX date of the last TV show I worked on (March 14 - Channel 4. You’ll have to work out the show yourselves!) which is always nice when they make it to the screen.

This morning's first laugh, thank you.

Karl Lagerfeld, just deceased, said that he didn't 'work' as he loved what he did so much that it couldn't really be called work.
Sounds like you know that feeling, Patti. Good on yer!
Morning all. Overcast but mild in the valley. Mixed bag of classes to tackle and a case of the sniffles. It could be worse!
Oh, I hate the sniffles, Gaff. They sometimes turn into something worse.Family off home today. We'll miss them. It'll be quiet!

Yep, if I could just spend my day teaching and not have to deal with all the other shit, I'd be in heaven.
I remember being told when I first started work that there would soon be no need for paperwork. We'd just press 'button A' and it would all be done for us. Furthermore, we could look forward to a working week of just 3 days.Um...

Evening all. Just had a lovely few days away with the family, we go to a lodge in Yorkshire every year, think this was our 6th visit. Just so peaceful. Got some coursework done and a bit of a new WIP so it was productive surroundings! Managed to get a really high mark on my last bit of coursework so I'm thrilled, hoping I can keep the momentum up.
Jess is cuddled up on my lap, she's had a little holiday as well and settled in well. Seems to be happy I'm home though :)
Hope everyone has a good end of the week.

Look on the bright side, it's better to be woken by coffee than Adrenalin ;-)

We go to a lodge in Wales, we've being going for a few years now. Last year we had two stays and the plans this year are for three. Plenty of walks and we find new places to visit and ones we enjoy returning to.
MorningWork sucks.
Kitty was ill yesterday so I had the day off, back in today to find out all the things I've done wrong (okay, just 2 things). I hate my job.
Roll on 5pm
Well, not a very relaxing day off, didn’t get to do everything on my to do list and ended up taking my neighbours granddaughter to an indoor play area, which turned out to be my idea of hell! At least I have two working smoke alarms (and neighbours granddaughter was happy she got to sit in a fire engine!), hit my step count and finished my book (that was a struggle, it was that loud in the play centre that I struggled to concentrate)! Had another rubbish night sleep though, got a headache cos I’m tired, should have had a meeting this afternoon that got rearranged to this morning, then my boss forgot and had a meeting with someone else, so started half an hour late! Got to do some housework tonight ready for the cleaner coming tomorrow (and post the key through her letterbox), unfortunately the pet food delivery is due this morning, might just hide that till tomorrow! I did also get a money off pet food voucher when I got the milk yesterday, so going back tonight or tomorrow to use that. Randomly last night my right hand felt really bruised and sore, and looks a bit swollen when I put it in a fist. Glad you had a lovely break Claire, and that Jess is glad to have you back. I hate being up that early before the alarm Patti. Sorry that work sucks Jud, hope Kitty is better.
Oh dear, soft play at half term. You are one brave (or very stupid) lady Desley ;o)There should be mild tranquilizers offered to all adults whilst at soft play just to help you get through the trauma.
I'll accept stupid! In my defence, not having children, i had no concept of what these places get like, or how high pitched children can scream! Maybe that's why my hot chocolate was cheap, they want you to have a drink so they can slip something in! The one we went to in Nov wasn't that bad though

True dat.
I think I've got World Book Day all sorted now.
Just need the head to approve the letter I would like to send to the parents.
Too late to send it it today now.
Hope he pulls his finger out and reads it soon!
Jump leadsThat's all you need
But keep the engine ticking over so it doesn't run the battery down :-)
Morning. I was pulled into a stupid and pointless meeting which was meant to be 10 minutes but took a lifetime and now I don't have time to go for coffee with a colleague who is off for training at half past *sobs*
Plus I bought a bottle of fizzy water on my way in and when I opened it it was flat!! Only San Pellegrino too.
Friday's are supposed to be good days
Morning. Off with my mates for a haircut. I missed the last one as I was ill, so I can barely see out of my fringe!
Jim wrote: "Jump leadsThat's all you need

Jim, are you advising Patti to use jump leads on her boss?
Well, Zooplus order arrived and the box had been so bashed around that the litter tray was broke, so I need to contact them today to sort out a replacement. Couldn’t be bothered going to the shop last night, I’ve got until 26th to use the voucher. Flared my sciatica up moving the Zooplus box to a corner so the cleaner could hoover, so had to take a strong painkiller, still didn’t sleep through but feel as though I must have had more deep sleep. Going to the retail park for some sticky Velcro to hopefully put some pics up, and do the food shopping, plus friend is still poorly so getting a few bits for her too. Nice blue skies though. Just realised I forgot to leave the money for the cleaner, will have to post that later. Sorry that your Friday wasn't good Jud.
Can I just join Will in reporting that I atent dead yet, either. Although I think Will got closer than me! I also discovered the bizarre fact that my mother and uncle’s rubber dinghy, when they were kids, was, in fact, army surplus. Indeed, it transpires it was the life raft from a B17. They come with a distinctive blue oar, which was subsequently given to me by my grandmother when I was about ten, to use with my polystyrene boogie board. I still have it somewhere.
You learn properly weird stuff when you go to museums although, I suspect, most of the time I don’t learn the things I am supposed to and, in this case, having studied a series of displays designed for my edification and improvement, it seems I’ve merely come away with a case of dinghy envy.
Cheers
MTM

Yes, start at the top and work down. No point using jump leads on your co-workers ;-)
My lovely man made me turn off the show I was enjoying so he could watch something that he wanted and is now snoring.Grrrrrrrr
I just shouted at him.
