It is fucking LOUD here.Apartment reno in our building and they're tearing down a building next to us.
Discordant banging from every direction.
I could scream!
On a happy note, we've finally got internet in our flat!

Morning all!Sad news Mary :( I'm going to yet another friend's funeral on Monday
Yay for your internet Patti and I commiserate with the building work racket It seems incessant around here too although there seems to be a hiatus in the renovations at the moment
Good morning Vietnam! (and everywhere else as well). The new furniture is in (it was purchased from Oak furnitureworld or furniturehouse or furniture something or other) and the old chairs have been reduced to their smallest recyclable parts and disposed of. When you take something like that apart and see what's inside (basically cardboard and wide rubber bands apparently) it makes you wonder why they cost so much.
Well, I took the not buying more than I need a bit far last night and forgot 2 things I actually did need, so had to go to the co-op after getting home! By the time I'd done that, I was so sore that sitting was uncomfortable, so ended up taking painkillers and watching TV in bed at 8. Glad I was awake at 7, the landline rang at 7.30, it never rings - number started 049 so must be a cold call. Not as sore today, but suspect the 3 mile walk I had planned wouldn't be wise. Got a couple of bits to get today, contemplating using the money off cat food voucher I got when I went to the co-op, and then alternating between housework, TV and reading. Sorry to hear that MT, it does seem more common when you get to a certain age, shame you didn't find out in time to pay your respects. Glad you have internet now Patti

He has kept me 'on the books' though, so I may go back and see him.

Good morning!Gorgeous sunrise and cool enough to have the windows open.
I think the plan for the day is going out for noodles for breakfast, then shopping.
Dave needs a new watch and he wants a wireless keyboard.
Weather's a bit different here, Patti. Rainy, grey day. In-laws coming round for some breakfast - bacon rolls and croissants. Then I am spending the day at the laptop, and not leaving the house, at all.
Well, it was so wet and windy here yesterday, I'd have decided against going for a walk, just going to the shops was bad enough! Got a bit sore after lunch, so didn't do enough housework, so loads to do today, but cold is worse today! Still windy, but rain seems to have stopped. Hope you enjoyed the in-laws visit Kelly, and hope next week is an easier one work wise. Lucky you Patti!
Grey and dull here. Probably saving the rain until I'm in the middle of a field watching child 1's football match.

Incredibly successful day.Got the shopping done then spent the afternoon cooking and cleaning, then a nap, then dinner at the neighbours'.
I've left Dave there. I need some quiet alone time to get my brain ready for the week ahead.

It's lovely to have a day when you feel you've accomplished loads. I'm not having one of those days!
How do? Grandchild and his adults now gone home. Gran and Granddad shattered!Back tomorrow when I can string a few words together.
Finished with the usual Sunday brunch here - quite spoiled!Plenty of bacon, Patti, in case you're looking for a place to retire.
Bacon butties for breakfast, some enjoyable eyebombing during church and an afternoon in the garden during which I completed a whole load of pruning. Now I’ve finished the difficult bit of my knitting for a while and am onto a nice simple straightforward bit, have revamped some of my automatic author emails and am just about to go to bed. It’s been a lovely weekend at home.Cheers
MTM
Morning all. There's this weird colour in the sky this morning and a ball of light I haven't seen in so long I've forgotten what it's called!
Today seems a much better day than yesterday. On Saturday I managed to walk 5 miles and got home dry (although the dog was muddy). Yesterday was continual rain and very windy so the most exercise was a quick 10 minutes between heavy rain and then walked home after getting mum settled for the night.
I did a bit of reading and then got mum to help with some pie making.
This morning was just bright enough for rain to fall when we didn't appear to have any clouds above it, but not bright enough to produce a rainbow!
Morning! In recovery and withdrawal from a full-on not-quite-three year-old all weekend. I'd forgotten how they absorb information and constantly ask questions. He's delightful. But tiring!
Morning all and another beautiful sunny blue one at that.Decided on my New Year's resolution - to finish every cup of coffee before it has gone cold :)
I made a nice hot cup of tea at work today.I drank a cold cup of tea at work today.
Was a long day which finished with a meeting that should have been an email.
I may have some chocolate for pudding.
Had a rubbish night sleep, did wake up early enough to get to work early, but had a headache, so turned over. Feel like I’m back in the swing of things now, although today is a catch up day. First proper weekend with no voluntary stuff went well, with how sore I was, I was really glad that I didn’t have any commitments. I do however feel bad at how much TV I watched, even though most of it was with Lucy on my knee, which is part of the reason for giving up, to have more time with the cats. Hope you have recovered today Kath! Sounds like a nice productive weekend MT. Good luck with the resolution R. Hate when you have to have a meeting for something that could be done in an e-mail
I've just made out a Will. So very exciting... Hmm.But you know you should all make sure you have an up-to-date one :o)
Good morning all. Sorry, actually typed the good morning yesterday, but forgot to hit the 'post' button. What a maroon!
Morning all. Looks like it's going to be a busy one in the valley today. Where did all that holiday rejuvenation go?
Morning. Didn't get up till 9.30. Had a chesty cough yesterday and by bedtime I had a full-on fever. Bizarre dreams in the night and so dizzy I almost fell over on my way to the loo. Temperature normal this morning but feeling a bit wiped out. Going to do a bit of gentle editing but I don't promise I won't have a kip after lunch.
Didn’t expect it, but I had a better sleep last night. Still couldn’t be bothered getting up early enough to get to work early though, but traffic was really bad again this morning, even going the other way. Did the Zooplus order on Sun, got an e-mail last night saying it would be delivered today, decided to have it redirected to work, e-mail came through today saying between 5.55 and 6.55! So have had to redirect it again for tomorrow. Sorry you weren't well yesterday Kath, I think you may need a kip after lunch.
Almost my bedtime.I got the new Stephen King a couple of days ago.
I need a nice big bucket of time so I can read it.
A lovely day to have a long argument with a loss adjuster over the damage to a 200 year old barn in November's storms...

Missed that one, Kath! Hope you are feeling better. Could have been dehydration, with the bizarre dreams?
It was fever, Will. I was keeping my fluids up. A lit better today but I have a runny nose and a sexy voice!
Glad you're feeling a wee bit better today, Kath. Thank goodness you slept better, Desley.
Felt a little bit not quite myself yesterday - I blame the weather.
Kath wrote: "It was fever, Will. I was keeping my fluids up. A lit better today but I have a runny nose and a sexy voice!"Didn't you have recent contact with little ones? They're adorable - and often a source of raging infections. Poor tykes.
