Morning! Lad doing well, Kelly. He's feeling the usual slight soreness, itchiness and a a pulling sensation. He's got next week off too as his job (collections manager at a museum) involves lifting weighty boxes.I'm off shortly to the cake club and this afternoon they want volunteers to decorate the very tall tree in the village church. Might kick me into Christmas mode!
Morning, all. Milder day here, but I'm annoyed to find my network is down and I can't get online on my phone.
MorningI'm suffering from a lack of connectivity on my phone too but I can't say I mind too much. I read my kindle on the train and now I'm in work so I can get online anyway.

I'm just suffering from a lack of brain connectivity! I had been given a massage as a gift from a friend. Booked it for Tuesday but got all arse about face because McMini was off sick on Monday and I therefore spend the entire day thinking it was Monday on Tuesday. Sigh. As a result, I have now had to pay for another massage, so I can tell the friend I've had one, because I missed the booking without giving her 24 hours notice so I've used the voucher for a massage I haven't had.
I am a cock.
Welcome to my world.
Booked the next one for a Thursday because it seems to take me Monday and Tuesday to get organised each week and then on Thursdays and Fridays I actually do something.
Oh MTM, that's so upsetting :o( so easily done though.I hope you enjoy your massage when you finally get it.
Despite my efforts to avoid my infectious family last week I’ve been clobbered with the D&V. So last night I spent the evening in the bathroom. Poorly, sick and the rest is history. I managed to get little lad to school and back today but his lunch is torture. Cooking it and watching him eating is setting me off again. Once he’s gone home I’m off to bed this afternoon.
Been raining since I got up and we haven’t had daylight yet – luckily the sky isn’t too dark, so it isn’t that gloomy. Had another rubbish night sleep, was so tired last night I had a headache, went to bed early but struggled to sleep, and stay asleep. At 2, I was overheating and had indigestion, so got up, was tired after half an hour so switched the TV off but then couldn’t get back to sleep. My knee is acting up, it’s like a cramp pain in it, which means it’s related to my sciatica, good job I thought that was twinging a bit and put a magnet on it this morning. Luckily I’ve got a quiet day, but had to come in early as I have the dentist at 4.50. Have foolishly offered to go to poundstretcher to pick something up for my neighbour on the way back. Just been asked to take part in a survey, they were offering a £20 amazon gift card as an incentive, so I said yes! Glad you got a run in Jud. I wouldn’t invite ‘ratty’ neighbour if she was also ratty! She is hard work though, will be hard getting through a full afternoon with her, am hoping that she will just wander when we get there! Glad the move went well Kelly. Sorry that you haven't been able to take advantage of a free massage MT, hope you do enjoy it. Sorry you are poorly Lynne, hope it doesn't last.
Apparently O2 are having a major outage or somethingI am on O2 but haven't had my phone on this week so hadn't noticed, and apparently you can still make actual telephone calls

MY o2 seems fine but I’ve been using the wi-fi a lot.

Then I realised that the BBC don't bother to say 40 what, it could be mph, kph or even knots!
MorningIt's just the data was affected on O2 so the original telephone features were still working (calls and text). My nephew works for O2 in Belfast, I don't think he had a fun day.
Seems a nice day here, brought my running stuff but I'm undecided if I'll go, I'll wait and see what the weather is doing.
Waaaaah!!Mum just phoned to say Nathan threw up on their doorstep. She says he is fine now and they are feeding him ice cream and lollipops.
Guess I won't be going for a run at lunch, I'll be working through to get home earlier.
Weather warnings for S Wales - yet today is the first day in ages we've got some sunshine and clear skies.
Well, did have a bit of a toss and turn night, but woke up at 4 something feeling quite awake and my eyes didn’t have that dry gritty feel they’d had all week. Did feel a bit tired by the time it was a reasonable hour to do anything, but feel the most human I have all week, and despite the wind battering the window at 6am, we now have blue skies for the first time since Mon. Dentist was happy, even though I’ve had a bit of intermittent sensitivity on the tooth next to the one they crowned, she thinks it’s just a bit more exposed than it was. Doing the food shopping on the way home and a wash load when I get back, don’t think I’ve much to do housework wise this weekend. Hope you aren’t badly affected by the storm R. Fingers crossed Nathan doesn't have a bug Jud - interesting food to feed a child who has been sick!
The neighbours here have got wifi and have given us the password! Not a great signal but better than nothing!

Woohoo!!

just to agree with Desley, interesting food to feed a child who's been sick :-)
I know, but they are looking after him so they can deal with it.They also fed him a caramel Rocky biscuit and a custard cream before deciding that it was probably okay to give him lunch.
Grandparents *eyeroll*
Knocks gently on the door; opens it and peers in. Nobody yells at me so I sidle in some more... Hello. I've been listening in to all your gossip for ages, but haven't had time to visit. I hope you don't mind if I make myself at home.
Biccies, anyone... or maybe a mince pie that just happened to jump into my trolley this morning?
Rain, gales and downpours in Norfolk this morning (during which I wrangled the trolley across Morrison's carpark and just about got everything into the car before my soaked trousers weighed me down too much to move).
Now it's lovely and sunny. Well, for the next forty minutes or so before it sets...
As my mom always sez, 'what doesn't kill you, makes you stronger'.And why not give the wee mite ice cream and lollipops when he's gonna go home soon and no longer yours to deal with? It's Friday!
Hey Jud? Remember when you used to think of the weekend as two days of rest?
Hehehehe
Ha yes, I vaguely remember those days... My new motto is now "I'll rest when I'm dead"I'll be gutted if Kitty is sick tomorrow though. It's her cousin's birthday party and she is so excited about it.
Eh up! Sitting here in a semi colon, as my mum used to say. Friends all departed (they came for lunch) and washing up done and I feel I could go to sleep! I used to have energy!
wind getting up, still not raining, sheep moved, cattle fed, blog post written. Now I might just have a coffee and then go out to take Sal for a stroll and check how wet our mosses are!
If I come into the house, throw everything i'm wearing into the washing machine and get into the shower, it's a sign that it's bad :-)
I’m better today. Could face a coffee and toast just. Thank goodness it’s friday, I asked the little lad to turn his iPad off and get ready for school. He wasn’t pleased, I went to chuck his toast crusts out for the birds and heard the door shut. That wouldn’t have worried me but I saw the little horror on the other side trying to turn the key, as my daughter has a high walled garden there’s no chance of getting out for me I just yelled in time and he panicked and stopped. He didn’t want his teeth cleaning apparently.

Yes, keys will be removed. Lessons learned and yes he’ll be outside on his own if he sasses Grandma.! I don’t think he could climb out. I certainly couldn’t.
I'm sure the judges consulted with an appropriate cohort of chickens as part of the judging process.

Doesn't sound like the best of foods for a kit who just threw up. We tended to keep them on something like ginger ale for a while, if they could keep that down.
I used to get a really odd one. Butter and sugar mixed to a paste. Only a little but still it’s a peculiar remedy. I preferred Lucozade.
Had another early night, so was wide awake at 5.30, had a cup of tea and watched some TV, got another hour at some point, Lucy waited till 7.20 to fuss for breakfast. Weather is atrocious today. Got to nip to our cheap shop for a couple of bits this morning, maybe the beautician for a Christmas present if I can be bothered in the weather, then going to the fair early, as there is also a food festival on today, so want time to look round that and check out the stalls at our fair. Supposed to be there 12-4, am hoping that there are enough of us that it doesn't take an hour to pack up. Am thinking I might need a drink tonight after hours of Christmas music! Sounds like you are going to have fun with him Lynne!!

A very damp morning. Have already taken the dog to the vets for her boosters. Next it’s down to the groomers for a trim. They have a note on her file that she bites the hairdryer.
I’m going to have to get some milk for Mum. There was plenty but she was up feasting during the night and had two bowls of porridge.
Then this afternoon we are planning some shopping and an afternoon tea.
Sugary butter? Ugh, I think that would have made me sick. As would the tea with no tea. I'll take the lucozade, thank you.Talking of tea with no tea, since I can't tolerate milk any more, my favourite hot drink has been white tea drunk black. That confuses the heck out of people. Has anyone tried it? I find the nicest white tea can't be bought in the shops - I have to get it from specialist suppliers. I think it comes from a different part of the plant than black tea, and it's nothing like green tea. It's a bit complicated to explain, and all my family except my hubster and his mum turn their noses up at it.
Jay-Me, at least they probably prefer the dog to bite the hairdryer rather than the person wielding it. My cat would go straight to the source. Lol.
Morning. I was supposed to be in the village church this morning doling out the rest of the Christmas wreaths but it remained locked up. I had to contact some of the people who'd ordered them and say I'll get them tomorrow morning (when I know it'll be open!) and deliver them myself. Could do without it. Then, as I was dropping a note through someone's letter box I saw loads of cars outside the village hall. It's Breakfast with Santa this morning! So that's why all the keyholders I called on weren't in. I could really do without this! Got a blister too, with shoes I've been wearing for months with no problem.
Weve just done the joyous writing of Christmas cards. It’s like Groundhog Day. He sits impatiently drumming his fingers waiting for me to join him at the table. I’m doing silly things like making a cake and starting the Christmas pudding fruit to soak and putting washing in the machine.
Me “ Have you been in the loft for the cards, there’s always some left over”
Him, “No there aren’t any. (He can see through ceilings) where’s the list? “
Me a bit smug. “In the box with the left over cards”
Him. “My pens run out have you got any more”
Me “No”
Anyway they are all done, some actually done with love.
Janet I’m glad you had the butter and sugar. I’m not the only one.
Loretta I’ve had white tea it was nice, I like it quite weak. I’ve also got some as a present with jasmine flowers and it’s so perfumed I’ve had to move it away from food. I think I’ll put it in a pot pourri as the jasmine is overpowering.
