Hope that OH doesn't need surgery Elizabeth. I do like hearing your escapades though MT.

Afternoon. Narla's still in the hospital. Cardiologist scanned her yesterday. Prognosis isn't good for the medium term; never mind the long. They're trying to get her meds right to give her the best chance. Desperately got my fingers crossed she can come home tonight or tomorrow. Went to see her last night and I was a wreck having to leave her there. She did look a lot more settled and comfortable than Saturday though and she's back eating again. Waiting for a call back from the vets now. I'll put a picture from last night in the photos.
Morning all, had a disturbed night sleep and a bit of an upset tummy. Last day in work, then housework and packing.
Morning. Hope Narla improves. At least she's with someone who cares.Off out shortly - I hate shopping!
MorningThought my cold was clearing up but I seem to be sneezing more than ever now. Woke up during the night extremely dizzy and literally bounced my way from wall to wall down to Nathan's room, I'm on a rehydration mission today, I have quite low blood pressure so dehydration is the most likely cause (combined with the cold virus!)
Fingers crossed Narla improves soon.
I hope you survive shopping, Kath.
Woke up to two missed calls, at really random times, 11.36pm and 5.48am, but didn’t recognise the number. Messaged to ask, reply was ‘me, Paul’, so I asked ‘Paul who’, at which point they rang again, when I didn’t answer, they messaged back with ‘sorry, must be wrong number’. Hope the dizziness resolves Jud.
That's odd Desley, wrong numbers can make such funny stories.Dizziness seems to have resolved itself, I've been making a conscious effort to drink plenty.
Jud wrote: "Dizziness seems to have resolved itself, I've been making a conscious effort to drink plenty."Drinking plenty is usually what brings on my dizziness.
Pretty much sorted, then realised I hadn't left enough room for the things I can't pack till morning, might have to take some of my treats out. Brother has warned me that I won't get any lie ins, the garden refurb has been slower than expected, they are currently cutting tiles!
It is AlicIa, and I am meeting Kelly and her pals to see Peter James speak, really looking forward to that
Well, woke up early so plenty of time to do the last minute things, and looks a nice day out, so always makes travel better. First time I've never driven to the airport though and not used to 50 mile journeys
Morning all. Patchy fog with intermittent sun in the valley today. Dry and clear, with a warm front pushing in from the west. Lows of 8/9, rising throughout the early part of the morning. Highs of 15-18 degrees. That's it from the weather desk for now, have a lovely day.

I was hoping to counteract one dizziness with another
Morning.Nathan actually slept through last night!! Kathleen might have been up late, I'm sure I dozed off while putting her to sleep so I've no idea what time she actually slept at. I still feel tired but I don't feel deathly exhausted anymore.
My line manager is back form holiday today so I might actually get some work to do now.
How is Narla today Claire?
Have a lovely trip Desley.
HihiI've got five minutes before my weekly meeting with the Year 4 teacher. Of course I've decided to spend it catching up with you lot.
Wish I had more time.
Big news of the day, I've decided on The Secret Garden as the first shared reading novel with the year 8s. We'll see how they get on with it. After, I'd like to do Wonder with them. Didn't want to start with Wonder until I'm sure they can access it.
Gaff, I wanna speak with you about doing your book with them at some point this year, perhaps. Perhaps in third term, depending how they progress. Would be great to tie in the author and we could perhaps finish up with a skype.
anyway, we can chat properly about that later.
meeting time!
Drive was a doddle, despite there had been a crash this morning. Now sat sipping a maple rooibos tea latte while waiting for the gate to open
Another lovely evening spent watching seals and their pups in a local bay.Right now I'm sat at my desk processing client's payroll, and watching Red Kites circling in the fields.
(Actually I'm probably kite watching rather than working.)
Patti, sure, no problem. You can always PM me on Facebook messenger, or mail me here and I'll pick it up. I'm always happy to help. :-)
That's amazing Will. Journey was great, no idea how they got us all on the plane in 15 mins though, got straight on a bus, had an hour to kill waiting for my brother to finish work, got a milkshake and found a bench in the sun, glorious weather here, shame the garden isn't finished
Evening all.Just enjoying my first alcohol for five days having decided I deserved a G&T. Himself will be in hospital a while longer - mobility and mental confusion issues to try and sort, but he may be transferred a bit closer which will be less tiring.
Patti, I loved the Secret Garden - I think I was 8 or 9 when I read it.
Enjoy your holiday, Desley.
You can tell I'm on a deadline - when I've been up since stupid o'clock! Time for a cuppa.Meeting up with Desley tonight to go to the Peter James talk, which is part of the Jersey Festival of Words. Really looking forward to it (the talk, and meeting up!)
Happy Friday.
Morning :) Narla's home :D picked her up last night. She had a good explore to check everything was still as she left it and then settled down. So happy to have her back.

Morning all ...
Yay for Narla!Double yay for Friday!
Only a double science lesson, assembly, grocery shopping and dinner, then I can fall into my bed!
Morning! Good news about Narla. Enjoy your talk, Desley and Kelly. This morning I'm off to post a few climbing beans to our Flo for seed for next year, then I'm collecting up next door's windfall apples from my veg plot to take round to the farm. The piggies love them. Hmm... Pork and apple...
Great news about Narla.Right now I'm sat at the desk with the window open, listening to the sound of farm machinery about half a mile away
Morning!Great news about Narla!
Yay for Friday! One of my pals is over from England, she was coming to meet another friend but her mum was taken to hospital yesterday so we are having an unexpected coffee this morning. I'm so excited! It has been a year since I saw her last.
Getting a new boiler fitted and Narla is not phased one bit! Managed to get this morning's tablets into her, she's on a full pharmacy now.

life in the fast lane!
Morning all, managed to get back to sleep after the gardener arrived. Lovely sunny day, chilling this morning, popping up to the local garden centre then pizza for tea before going meeting Kelly for the Peter James talk. My brother made me try his VR headset with some horror experiences, quite enjoyable and want to try the rest. Glad Narla is home, enjoy the new boiler Claire. Enjoy meeting your friend Jud
2 weeks in to the new job and finally, I think I have the laptop set up the way I want. Going to get it upgraded to Windows 10 at some point if I can find a half day where I don'y need it.
Jud wrote: "2 weeks in to the new job and finally, I think I have the laptop set up the way I want. Going to get it upgraded to Windows 10 at some point if I can find a half day where I don'y need it."Apparently the easy way to get the full Windows 10 experience is to upgrade to an Etch A Sketch
The Etch A Sketch does have the failing that whilst it has all the functionality of a machine running Windows 10, it doesn't waste your life with the regular updates which prevent you working
I am beginning to loathe and detest Windows 10. It keeps on updating itself and each time something new is borked. I’m seriously wondering about reverting to Windows 7. It was so much more stable.Cheers

I’m on Windows 0. Hate that system with a passion beyond reason. What a lovely day here today. Blue skies and windless. I have done my last basket watering (after 9 years doing it single handedly) before I step down as chair of the local in Bloom group. I will have so much extra time!
Good evening. Weather is lovely here, 27° this afternoon. Too much to do though to sit in the sun, poor house looked a bit nevglected but I’ve worked hard all day. I’m the only one awake now. It’s surround sound snoring. Journey was good apart from the panic when the service station we always go in for diesel was closed, if they’d advised it was closed before we passed the last one it would have been helpful. Still we got some in the village near the hotel and paid less than motorway prices. The next fill up wouldn’t take foreign cards. Really useful, still we got here all safe and sound.
Good morning!Splurging and using 4g on my phone. Really dislike typing on it, though.
Have i mentioned we've got a mosque very near our flat? I woke up about 15 minutes before dawn prayer call. On a Saturday when im meant to sleep in. Grief
Great dinner last night. Good food can be incredibly cheap here as long as you don't mind sitting in traffic in the heat. Also the best food places don't sell beer. We had to walk out to a bar to have a pint after. By then i was so knackered i just wanted my bed.
Not sure if we're doing anything tonight.
We still dont have a cleaner so scraping the filth off the flat is definitely on the agenda today. Still need to buy a microwave too.
Or I'll just read all day...
