Now it's time to write a book blurb which anyone will tell you is harder than writing the whole book.
Also intending (unless it rains again) to harvest my drying beans.

Just did the Great North Run, and I think I've lost the ability to walk normally.

Got a really fabby big scar!

I should be asleep.
Been crazy busy the last few days.
Moved into our new flat Friday night. Been cleaning and shopping ever since.
Gonna be another manic week at school, I'm sure.
Ill try to catch up properly during lunch tomorrow if I'm not on duty.

He does this sort of thing from time to time
Been on holiday! Lady wife and I had the first one for four years.
Just ten days, travelled north because travelling south isn't a holiday :-)

Yep, always go north. I plan a trip to Orkney and Shetland in the next couple of years.

That sounds lovely :) Glad you managed to get away for a nice long time.

It was good :-)

I like it, I like the whole area really :-)

Except you're still here.
But I agree: hospitals are not for getting better over the long run.

Well done Benjamin, I missed it this year, normally try and work it or go and watch a bit but I went south for the day. Heard it was a tough one with the heat this year. Hope you recover soon!

Went and saw mum today at Clumber Park. It's an ideal meeting point for us.
As of tomorrow morning I'm officially in second year, which means this time next year I'll hopefully be qualified!! Slightly scary thought, it's coming up rather quick now!

Thanks, both of you! It was alarmingly sunny - I worried about being burned halfway round, but they were helpfully giving out free suncream.
Good luck with your second year, Claire.
Morning, all.

Good luck with your second year Claire.

Yay! East, west, home's best!

that's what it's all about :-)
I always felt it was a really nice idea

Great news you're homeward bound, Tim!
Still rather busy here. Manic day at work yesterday, then spent most of the evening with workers in my flat moving the electrics to get the fridge in a better spot. It was in the dining room. Silly. Its in the kitchen now. Tonight a different lot are coming to sort out the TV.
Then I'm making dinner for four.
A couple of colleagues live one floor down. We seem to be taking turns making dinner. Dave cooked last night. A really nice Seafood curry. Was near 9pm before we could sit down and eat it though...

1. I'm not enjoying the book I started reading. I think I might abandon it. It is the second book in a series - I read the first as part of my challenge.
2. I am enjoying listening to some old favourites on Audible.
3. Due to other people taking holidays the month end deadline is this Friday.
4. The computers at work went squiffy yesterday due to an unscheduled and unwanted Windows download. Some people lost the network connection to the server. The engineer that was fixing something (not connected ) last week assured us that everything was set so to downloads between 9 and 5.
5. Today is a day to take mum to daycare.
6. I am glad to hear that Tim is going home.
7. I am glad to hear that Patti has found a home.
8. Nice Teddies Kath.
9. Well done on race Benjamin
10. Good luck with your studies Claire
11. Hope everyone else is well.
12. It is raining.

This week is clearing out the beach hut week :( Brought home all my paintings and stock this morning and I'll collect the fittings and furniture later. Where it's all going to go without making the house look like something out of that hoarders programme is another matter :/ I seriously need a studio

Plenty of Spam Groups being set up - if you are interested in Children's books that would appear to be about car washes???
Also plenty of fun over on the Feedback Group where they are discussing someone's request for all books to be given a clean rating.
Our computers are fixed for the moment. Apparently Windows decides that we don't have enough security so whenever it downloads it adds firewalls so that no-one can reach the server.
The rain has stopped. For the moment.
Book abandoned. Haven't chosen the next read yet.

Great about the teddies Kath. How odd to put a fridge in the front room Patti!! Glad you have nice colleagues living close, just hope you get to eat at a better time.

And back to the teddies!

Got about five minutes to breathe before collecting a student to do an assessment.
Then duty.
Then a meeting with the principal.
Might have a few minutes to do some admin before lunch.
then in classes until home time.
Can't say the days go by slowly!

Someone called about an hour before dinner, said they had a cancellation at the grill, and could we come - so we did. Lovely ladies to talk to.
That's the problem - so many nice people here. But it takes time to get to know them, and my brain is on overload with the new information.
Have dinner dates set up until the end of the month already, and spontaneous ones to fill the holes.
Husband insisted on unpacking and assembling my big monitor - now I have to locate enough power strips to connect everything. Had a Mac guru come to see about my mixed up files - and after an hour she said she'd have to refer me to a higher-level Mac guru so straighten out permissions since upgrading to High Sierra. Sigh. Had hoped to regain control today. So no writing yet - but big monitor when I plug everything in. And an actual keyboard.
Slowly, slowly, we re-establish connections to new sources, and let the old ones know where we are.
I don't think I ever want to move again. :)

Hope you can get the social life balance right and computer sorted Alicia. Hope your work quietens down Patti

Glad things seem to be coming together :-)

My new creepy improved gmail, as well as suggesting responses to emails, now also moves messages to the top noting I haven't replied to them. It's like having the PA I never wanted reading all my stuff.
mmm new shoes
