Still no rain and it looks like it's clearing now.

Send it this way. I want it to piss down tomorrow and Sunday. There's stupid tribute bands in the park near us all weekend.
We've just had about ten minutes of fine drizzle. Now it's really, really humid. Can I come sit in your threshold, GL?
I thought there’s was a marathon or half or something at Barry on Sunday too. We had about 5 spots of rain at 3 pm. Hope the sky clears so we can see the moon tonight but I don’t think this grey stuff will shift.

That rain has missed us then, except the 5 spots. My daughter will be pleased as she’s sweltered all week at work and they are taking the camping gear to Newgale for the weekend.Just opened the door to take the dogs out and the heavens have opened. I’m really sorry for my daughter now.
I wish it would either rain properly or the clouds would clear.I'd really like to see the moon tonight.
Woke up at 3am to howling winds and rain, rain, rain. Thought the cats were going to get blown away. Tim, sounds nasty. Hope you get better soon.
Full on thunder and lightning here last night - though the cats thankfully didn't seem too spooked.Morning all.
Woke up early, but really stuffy upstairs so couldn't get back to sleep. Could hear rain too, hope it stops as I'm going out for lunch for a friends birthday. We really do need some rain though
We've had a bit of rain this morning.Gonna be a noisy day. Neighbours are getting scaffolding put up and the stupid music will start at noon and carry on until 9pm.
Wish we'd have left by now as we intended to.

Beans again? 😉
And good morning! Just done my daily dose of writing. Too wet to garden so I might get back to knitting Teds!
Apparently we had 5O + mph winds here. Daughter’s friends tent and an awning blew away in the night. She’s working today and said McDonalds next to her office was full of wet campers this morning at 6.30.
'Tis the season. It's been pouring for a week here in New Jersey. I can't do weeding any more, so the husband is cleaning out the perennial beds of things like thistles and invasive crabgrass - all things that get very big.
Just had a massive hailstorm, really big marble sized chunks, loud thunder and a few flashes of lightning too. It’s moving eastwards.
Been suffering chronic wind as a side effect of these meds. Think I might have burped over several wheelie bins in the night!
Lynne (Tigger's Mum) wrote: "Just had a massive hailstorm, really big marble sized chunks, loud thunder and a few flashes of lightning too. It’s moving eastwards."Not here yet... I'll look forward to it! The wind kept me awake last night until I closed the windows

Great news Jud about your mum.Tim, hope the medicine works soon.
Well, heavy rain a couple of times yesterday then cloud cover meant no sight of the red moon sadly.
We had the hail yesterday, lightning and thunder after. I'm keeping an eye on the woodpigeons nesting in our garden in case I have to rescue any babies before the next rain hits...
We had a lovely meal, just as we were in the queue to pay, it started spitting, by the time we got to the door it was heavy rain and wind - we had umbrellas/hoods, but all wearing sandals, so soggy feet by the time we got to the car! Went 5 mins over our ticket and as we got there we saw a traffic warden, but the weather must have put him off checking! Had a lovely meal, even though our friend wasn't sure about us paying for her as her present! Had stopped by the time we got home, but then a really cold wind. Neighbour offered for me to go with her to drive to Cleveley's to drop her granddaughters stuff off, but decided to stay at home instead, ended up rearranging the kitchen cabinet, feel slightly satisfied about that, really should get a life!

Don't think that happened round here. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.
I've spent most of the day watching stuff on my iPad with earphones firmly implanted to drown out the shit music emanating from the park.
Oh, help please.Reccie for the nicest ice cream I can get from ASDA that's not a huge container?
I got a cornetto last week that was like eating wax.
I want a treat before we fly. Don't think I'll trust the refrigeration in Myanmar.
Big thunder storm here last night. Lovely day today, sun and a lovely cooling wind. So nice to be not sweating profusely. It was vile yesterday, so muggy and hot and I had to get ready for the guests so I couldn’t just lie still in a corner somewhere steaming. Jud, glad your Mum is ok.
Tim, glad you got it quick, fingers crossed that it goes away.
Patti, we had some really annoying event on too with some bloke droning on down a loud hailer all afternoon. Ugh.
Patti (baconater) wrote: "I put on a nightie. No ice cream reccie?"
I can't help with that as we have no ASDA here. Sorry :(
No worries. Thank anyway.I'll just have to find another way to enjoy the empty calories. :D
We left a window open last night and now I've got a wet carpet. Damn it.

Don't they do tubs of Ben and Jerries? Or the Magnums aren't bad.
Morning, all.
Morning Ben.The tubs are really big and the magnums are all multipacks.
Too late to change my order, anyway.
Woke up at 6.30 with a headache, have taken paracetamol, had a cup of tea and a cereal bar, tried to get back to sleep but given up. Will probably have an early night tonight. Raining and windy here, so doubt I'll get dressed, not much housework to do, so shall chill watching some TV. Neighbour will probably fancy a Sunday roast, but don't think we have anything in to make one with. What did you go for then Patti?
Sounds like proper welsh weather out there this morning. I can hear wind and rain. My little grandson is fascinated by Jurassic Park films. He loves dinosaurs, fossils etc. Yesterday someone was feeding chips to the seagulls from their car opposite our house. He looked out and screamed Pterodactyls. They did look rather like them too.
Morning, all.Hope your headache has gone away, Desley.
Woke up before 5 am, had to get up for something to eat. This move has me in tangles, and I've asked for help - daughter of friends might have some time between jobs. Can't seem to make headway with the packing. It is now my least-favorite thing to do.
Morning each! Windy and wet here. Nice change but I miss the sun!About to dive into the current writing - nearly said current book but it sounded so much like current bun that I couldn't bear to.
morning. Seems to be some slight improvement today - the outer edges are a bit less red, and the skin is cooler. Still searching for foods I can keep down for more than a minute . . . Gonna try ice cream next.Sadly not allowed alcohol :(
Back to sleep . . . .
