I think you’re right there Will. It was only after the teenagers were attacked they restarted the case. They were insisting on a Rusty Land Rover driver, husband kept saying no LandRovers go rusty. They are aluminium, it’s red primer. They came to us times as we had a Land Rover and we passed by that night.

Bloody hell, that all sounds pretty grim. Thanks for doing the survey everyone, best if you are readers of humorous sff as I’m trying to use the data to hone the kind of books I write! ;-)

Sounds like it was a good job you didn't stop to investigate anything yourselves when you saw the car!
Woke up to rain again, but very light today. Still got holes on the street, doubt they will get looked at till next week now. Going to try and look for a microwave after work, and food shopping. Could do with doing some of the housework too, am fundraising all day tomorrow and Sun is supposed to be gloriousOoh, liking all these claims to fame! I just work with Steve Coogans uncle. That is quite scary actually Lynne, you may have had a lucky escape there.
I'll have to look out for that programme. My phone keeps insisting we're gonna have thunderstorms this afternoon.
Will be out of a clear blue sky if we do.
Had a nice long walk and got some flower photos to put on Facebook.
I'm hoping Kath and/or Rosemary will label them for me.
His wife did Hillary’s blinds and he helped with measuring up. We think he had a go at our house as daughter was back and for to the farm and she got the creeps so she borrowed a friends dog a rottie cross, for a week, we were all in France with our dogs One night the dog went mad trying to get out she actually bit the handle off the back door and Sara found a funny tool like a hoof pick on the path next morning.
Evening all. It's in the mid twenties at the mo' so I should get another load of washing dry before sundown.
We went to Iceland earlier and found the Greggs freezer was nearly empty, which was a disappointment because I really wanted to stock up on their sausage rolls for a couple of nice easy lunches. It's a bank holiday here on Monday (Glasgow Fair week) so my guess is mums are buying their offspring their usual school-time lunch.
Well, didn't come home with a microwave, or the pizza I wanted, and as I managed to forget to take anti-inflams to work again today, I was in so much pain by the time I got home. So I'm not doing much housework tonight, as I have to stand in a field for 8.5 hours tomorrow, well, be in a field, I can't physically stand for that long at the moment. wow, that is really scary Lynne!

With this heat Elizabeth - I'm surprised you didn't climb into the empty fridge!!
My claim to fame is that I've been on the telly 3 times - once singing in the Salvation Army - the second time I was interviewed while taking a dinnertime stroll through a local park (Roath Park to my localites) and I was licking an ice lolly! Nothing wrong with that on a hot day you might think - but I was in my Nurses uniform!!! It was ok though - my Nursing Officer just asked why I didn't get an ice lolly for her too!! The third time was taking the blood pressure of one of my patients for an evening news item!!

Then people came another day to force water down the sewer somehow - more robot? Then today, two visits: one to pour dirt and concrete down the hole, the final one to apply asphalt over the concrete - and we're fixed. They took the orange cone away with them.
It didn't even take two weeks total. I like this mayor - things get done around here.
Oh, I forgot, our holes got filled in today, one is better than it was before they dug it up! Barriers are still partly round them though, presumably to stop us walking on the wet concrete. Glad yours is fixed too

Morning all. Have a few days off work coming up, so I intend to catch up on sleep.Grief, Lynne, that's horrifying.
Morning all, typically as I have a busy day, I was still awake at 3, then got woke up at 5.30 by an alarm, not sure when I got back to sleep but my alarm went off at 7.15! At least it has stopped raining and the sun is trying to come out, so hopefully the field wont be too wet and lots of people will turn up. Sorry to disappoint you Benjamin, but I read a study that says we cant actually catch up on sleep.

Morning. Off to the farm with some hats I've made from her wool from last year's shearing. Then it's the village show so I'm going along for a neb. I've found that one of my fellow admins from the Facebook group lives in Hull and does crafts so she's having a stall there. Be rude not to meet up!
That'll be fun, Kath! We've just cleaned the flat from stem to stern. That saying makes no sense, does it?
I love a Saturday morning smell of furniture polish.
Gorgeous day again. Can't really complain about being stuck in Wales this summer, can I? So far, anyway.
Shame there's stupid football on this afternoon.
I'm thinking I might take my kindle down to the beach.Just had to write a brief intro for the parent newsletter at our new school.
I should have let you lot write it. :D
What a long day! Despite the rain last night, the field was bone dry, which made it interesting to walk on, as it's used by the local youth football team, so very bumpy! Did have a nice social day though, got to chat with a few volunteers and a few friends turned up, one unexpected. Turnout wasn't as good as I expected and dog agility was really quiet, think it was too warm for people to want to do it, yet last year in the rain loads did it. Towards the end, someone found a dog wandering, so knew we were fundraising and brought him to us! I didn't have my microchip scanner on me, but our vets had a stall, so they went back to the branch and got theirs, he was chipped but then we realised we couldn't get on the register to find out as we were stood in a field. Luckily we had posted on Facebook, his owner contacted us and we reunited him. Came back with cake, home made scones and home made jam, a friend won a raffle prize so dropped that off on my way home, and bought dog treats for a friend who'd bought a couple, got home and realised the dogs loved them, so I got more and she came and collected them. Fortunately my foot is nowhere near as sore as I expected, although my shoe has rubbed a bit at the back, so that is sore.
Hello!!! Had a week off and been deep in my writing cave. Not easy in weather almost hitting 30 degrees! I am far too Scottish for any of that nonsense, thank you very much.Lynne, I got shivers reading that. Totally freaked me out. Thank goodness all was okay.
Flo, could you pass that ice-lolly along. It's boiling here. I don't care how old the lolly is.
Sorry, you're in pain, Desley. Take care.
Yours truly, from a British Island that is melting into the sea. Hot, hot, hot

More people should use them. My middle son acquired his cat because it had a chip. They returned it to the owner twice, after which the owner decided my son and his girlfriend had been chosen by the cat!
Morning all. Meant to be boiling again today as well - I'm thinking about going for an early run before the weather gets going.
Up early, slightly sore and stiff from yesterday, but not as bad as I expected, my right foot is the worst, so got the ice pack out. Trying to get all the housework done this morning as this afternoon is supposed to be really hot. Builder supposed to be coming at lunch to check all the arrangements for the enclosure, hopefully he can build it this week. Unfortunately Alicia, I'm a bit on the fence about microchips, as it means we have to give neglected animals back too
Glad you had a good day Desley. Hope you get your feet sorted soon. It’s miserable they hurt. A lot of dog training /events are being cancelled here due to the unusual weather. Our garden is bone dry, I smelt burning outside last night and hoped it wasn’t a grass fire. Not doing much today, but if gardening then watch the French lose at football tonight, I bet there’s riots afterwards either way. .
Good morningDave's father is having surgery tomorrow, as there's been a cancellation. Apparently, they'll be removing a chunk of bowel and he'll be needing a colostomy bag afterward.
I hope it's worth him going through at his age.
In his place, I wouldn't. His choice, though.
Got news yesterday that my younger brother is ill, as well. They're thinking some sort of stomach cancer. They'll be doing a bone marrow test to find out for sure.
He's turning 50 in seven days.
I'm in shock.
Hope the op goes well for Dave's dad, I agree with you about going through it. Do hope your brothers test show something less serious. I bet you are in shock
Oh no, Patti, really hope it's nothing serious with your brother. And hope Dave's dad gets through it okay as well.
Oh dear Patti, I hope everything works out on the minor side.Morning everyone.
Soft rain here which is forecast for the rest of the day and is making a soothing change - the garden is soaking it up.
Have a good day y'all - rain or shine.
Oh, hard news Patti. Baking hot already and I picked a pound and a half of rasps. I picked them yesterday afternoon, too. They're ripening as you watch them!
Hope the op goes well for Daves Dad, my pal hasn’t just had her colostomy reversed this week and doing well, but she’s 70. Sorry to hear a bout your brother. Treatment is getting much better these days.
Builder arrived early, he can't do the enclosure till the week after next unfortunately, hopefully they will still get some nice weather to enjoy it. Yesterday is starting to catch up with me now, have a blister, a couple of bruises and aching muscles! At least I got enough housework done this morning to chill out this afternoon
Evening all,Really sorry to hear that news Patti, fingers crossed they can sort it out. And fingers crossed for Dave's dad to!
Sorry to hear your news about Dave's Dad and your brother. My BiL has been advised that he needs an op for his Crohn's that would involve him needing a colostomy bag and he has refused. I've seen quite a few patients having to make that decision - but I have to say that although all of them dreaded the thought of having the bag prior to the op - most of them said (after about a month of living with the bag) that life wasn't as complicated as they thought it was going to be and they were all coping really well. There are very good support and supply systems here in Wales for people with colostomies. Some good news for my family at last. Our 2nd Great-Granddaughter, Maisie Nicole Allen was born this morning, weighing in at 7lbs 7ozs. After all the heartache and sadness over the last few months - it felt really good to have something to celebrate.
