Well, I thought I had.Good grief. I'm 17 pence short of getting free delivery on a couple things I wanna order from Amazon.
And that may have been the most 'first world problem' I have ever complained about in my life.I'm embaressed.

Looks really fun, and not too expensive.

Fab, I would use Benjamins advice. Seems very positive about the house Will, hope the car doesn't need much doing.
Unfortunately just had to do a job that required carrying and standing, so hip twinging again, it is more inside my leg today though. Really glad I’m not going to my works birthday party, they are trying to organise a hog roast at the moment.

I'm really put off by the thought of buying something just to get the free delivery.
Dave sez he needs new shoelaces, so that might do it.
Patti (baconater) wrote: "Well done, Jim! Have a cookie!"If dark chocolate digestives count as cookies (especially as we keep them in the fridge ;-) ) I've taken your advice and had a cookie

It was really fun. Dexter loved jumping around in the muddy puddles and pulling buckets of water from the creek. He got absolutely filthy and loved every minute of it.

I'm feeling quite odd. Happy/sad about leaving tomorrow."
to hear is to obey.
Hope things go smoothly for you both

I'm really pleased Dexter enjoyed it.
Kinda sad it's come to having to pay money for experiences such as those, though.
When I was growing up, it was called 'go outside and play'.

Thanks Jim. Me too.
I'm sure I'll feel more settled once we're in the flat.

Sounds a perfect day for a little boy.
Not surprised you have bittersweet feelings Patti
Nice going Jim, Will, hope the house sale goes well, glad Dexter had fun Jud, hope the pain goes soon Desley. Patti, it must feel strange heading off to a new adventure but I’m sure it will be fun.I’ve just been playing with some adobe apps and my iPencil phnark. Blimey. It’s very impressive. Was seriously hovering about buying anything else apple but Microsoft borks something else every time my computer updates.
Just watching the footie. England have just scored a second goal ... in one game ... which is more than they normally score in an entire tournament. Bit of a turn up.
Dave tells me England won.No idea why he told me. I don't care.
Yes, our new adventure will be very fun. We're not going to Cyprus, after all.
We got a much better offer.
Myanmar.
Myanmar is a bit of a challenging place right now with the claims of ethnic cleansing, Patti. Not to mention the situation with the recent decades of army rule...

yes, I've watched 'outside' become an alien environment to a generation.
My daughter still talks about how when she was a child she'd just take Jess with her and spend a morning just walking round the fields and playing
(Jess was the dog )
Oh on Monday I got a father's day card from her, delayed by the post.On the front there is a picture of an elephant and inside the dedication says,
To Dad,
Thank you for you constant support of my career in elephant based banditry
(It's a long story :-) )
Getting children into gardening and growing things and basically being outdoors is my main interest in the Bloom campaign.Talking of which, off out to hang our 90 hanging baskets this morning. Hope a few helpers turn out!
Morning all btw
Morning all, sunny here after lots of rain. Ooh, that sounds interesting Jim. I remember going out as a kid and losing track of time, luckily I was with our dog so she knew I'd be fine
Thanks LA. Won't be until august. Is mine the only man who obsessively spends ten minutes writing a shopping list then doesn't bother to look at it when he's in the shop?
It's traditional to leave the shopping list on the table. But the act of writing it recalls the things you need. All except the most important ones.Morning!
Morning all, fairly cloudy here too.The children near my house certainly haven't lost the art of playing outside - I sometimes wish they would go indoors and play video games just so we could have some peace and quiet!
Kath wrote: "It's traditional to leave the shopping list on the table. But the act of writing it recalls the things you need. All except the most important ones.Morning!"
Exactly.
Even though it is horribly muggy and drizzly here, the pond managed to evaporate and had to be refilled. How does that happen?
Patti (baconater) wrote: "Then you better start writing it, Jim."It's simply told. She never admitting to wanting a pony, anyway she had a suckler cow of her own and pocketed £500 a year when that year's calf was sold.
She also made an unguarded comment that the careers choices offered were limited. She felt that they ought to let her explore banditry.
Then in another lunchtime conversation my lady wife mentioned some young woman suing her parents because they'd destroyed her youth because they'd never let her have a pony.
So daughter commented that she'd always wanted an elephant but we'd never bought her one.
At this point I rallied to my own defence by pointing out that it would be difficult to have a career in banditry with an elephant. Unless of course she was going to practice her craft in India.
Inevitable at some point I spotted a book about India's bandit queen, Phoolan Devi.
So that went in as part of her Birthday present :-)
Yep, I want her to join us when we finally sit across from another and chat, Jim.Off to the airport soon...
Kath wrote: "What an imagination that girl has! The apple doesn't fall far from the tree."my lady wife can spend Sunday lunch in silent bemusement :-)

travel safely :-)
Thanks Benjamin. Not too bad a flight. About five hours. It's the drive to Cardiff at the other end that I could do without.
All checked in and waiting for the boarding call.
Goodbye Baku!
Foot must be less swollen, I could put my shoes on without a struggle this morning! Hip not as bad either, but right knee has been sore, even a colleague passed comment on how I was walking! Just think how generous you are to your wife, providing all this free entertainment Jim!! Safe trip Patti, bring some nice weather with you
