Morning.Didn't sleep well last night, I'm ready to fall asleep at my desk.
Today didn't start off well either, I had booked in a presentation for 10am only to get there and get set up to be told by the school secretary that she booked it for 1pm. She emailed asking to have it later and I forgot to change the time in the calendar.

Morning everyone.We went to Chester on our recent tour, Desley. Even looking on the tourist website, parking appeared to be chronic and no accommodation in the city centre would guarantee a parking place. Luckily we found a really nice B&B with parking just up from a footbridge across the Dee and a short walk into town. Also a foodie pub within walking distance. Unluckily it was brass monkey weather so we claimed sanctuary and a welcome cuppa in St. Peter's which had a lovely atmosphere. On the other hand, the cathedral took us nearly 10mins to get out of, it was such a maze.
Its really last day of holiday, just doing last clean ups and off to vets for dog passports stamped this afternoon. Road trip tomorrow and wednesday.
Wales was just lovely over the weekend. Spent the sunday on Aberporth beach. Hadn't been before, but it was stunningly beautiful.

I'm pleased you re-use buckets rather than nasty plastic bags.

Probably a couple of hours drive. But worth it.
I've just given myself a long overdo pedicure.I'm too tight to pay for someone else to do it.
Afternoon alls. Just back from a longer than expected walk - took a wring turn at a farm and ended up getting to the coast path 2 miles further on than planned!! Nice day for it to happen though, no rain here yet.
We had a bit of rain here earlier. Just enough to make it steamy here now. Clear blue sky, though.I'm rather enjoying having no demands on my time this afternoon.
It's nice to sit and not feel that I am being lazy and should get on with something.

Hadn't been before, but it was stunningly beautiful."Aberporth and the other nearby beaches are ones that we have visited many times over the time that my sister lived in Cenarth. We also had summer holidays in that area about 15-20 years before my sister moved down there (we have a photo of her stood at the waterfalls at Cenarth and we tease her that she was thinking "I'm going to live here one day")
Our favourite of the beaches there is Mwnt, it is a bit farther from my sister's new house but I'm sure we will still visit.
Things are plodding on with Mum - good days and bad days. We are waiting for a scan appointment to see if the latest treatment is working.
Niece#1 is settling down in Stockholm and is on the final countdown to the arrival of the sprog.
Niece#2 has moved to Lancaster in the hope that the train service to Preston is better so she can get to and from her teaching job.
Niece#3 has finished her University degree and is working in Lancaster as a copy editor (temporary job for the summer which hopefully will lead to permanent full time)
Nephew is studying and also working at the University of South Wales.
I'm not doing anything - my fridge is empty, the house needs cleaning but I'm only going there to sleep at the moment. I am having a new boiler though. And if I have time sorting accumulated stuff into keep, chuck or charity. I also need to do something with the jungle at the front of the house.

Moving must be in the air. I didn't time it for the end of the school season, honest! But we're living surrounded by half-packed boxes and piles of stuff in odd places.Can't wait to get it all over with.
Have to go pick up the husband when they release him from cataract surgery - they said 3-4 hours, and I wonder what they're going to do with that much time.
Rang the docs on the way in, they have got the results, which they were a bit puzzled by, unsurprisingly. She read them out to me, it seems to indicate that I don’t’ have capsulitis, that there is mild arthritic changes from my bunion, but that really doesn’t explain why I haven’t been able to bend my toes since Feb. So need to ring the podiatry department to see if they are happy for my doctor to take over, or if they want to review them. Yes, we did have that problem with parking, there was a car park where we stayed but you can't book a spot with your room, we were lucky and our other friend grabbed one about an hour later. Fingers crossed for your mums scan Janet

The op wasn't long but then you get another round of post op checks before they allowed me out
So I'd say four hours wasn't a bad estimate :-)

He was out in two - I was just about to take a nap. Fortunately, his eye surgeon is less than 10 minutes away. I picked him up, and took the nap. Feel much more normal now. Even found the spoons to wash my hair.

Evening all,Had a great daddy and Dexter day today. We went to a boogie babes session and had a dance and sing. We then went to a hardware shop and bought some wood, then we had beans on toast for lunch. That was a pretty full morning so we had a nap. We then played on a slide and cooked dinner for mummy.

Now we wait to see how much better his vision might get; it won't be perfect, because that's the eye that had the macular pucker, but it should be somewhat better once any swelling goes down. He's wearing a very piratical eye patch.
Good morning.Eye heal very quickly, Alicia. I'm sure your swashbuckler will love the improvement in his vision in no time.
I sure hope so, Patti. It would be a good outcome after a great many months of him not being able to see properly out of that eye. And the operation. And the detached retina. I feel helpless.

These things can be uncomfortable at best and downright painful sometimes."Thanks - it is less painful, but I am still unable to bend my toes!! spoke to the podiatrist who said ‘you can tell just by looking there is arthritis round that bunion’, so he is now trying to get my doc to fax over the report so he can see what has happened, but I told him between wanting to scan the wrong part and sending it to the wrong people, I have no faith at all. I really hope I don’t need an MRI at the end of this.

As of this Friday, yes. Nearly two hours of treatment, but all done successfully. Now recovering (and feeling more than a little sore).

Hi hi!
Had a busy morning but the afternoon should be much calmer.
Just gonna settle down with a bacon sarnie and an episode of The Crown.
