Pop in for a chat!
Wow, a few days away and I missed so much. Fingers crossed for Dave's father and anyone else who is under the weather. I am in BC right now, on holiday, but as the electrics blew in our hotel room this morning I am taking refuge with friends. Fortunately we managed breakfast and coffee first. Very decadent I thought, microwave bacon and asparagus with little tomatoes. It went PING when the asparagus was just cooked. Problem is, so did the fridge, the TV, the lights and the coffee machine. This is a fun hotel and might just appear in a story one day... So far it's like Fawlty Towers minus the humour :) Have a great evening everyone.

Evening all. Been a busy weekend at Gardening Scotland - two Gold medals and a first prize so we're all very pleased - but I've done more than my usual amount of driving round the Embra city bypass which isn't much fun at the best of times (Pity the poor sods who do it every day in the commute) Next week should be calmer though!I knew the daughter of the actual manager from the hotel in Torquay where the Pythons stayed, that Cleese based basil on. She was lovely :)
My excitement this afternoon was seeing a hummingbird hawk moth. Never seen one before
Oh, they're fantastic. Two of our friends have moth traps so we see lots when they release them.
That's really interesting Rosemary. It's always nice to have a connection to a place. Well it took ten hours and three requests for them to flip the circuit breaker but we are now safely ensconced in the room watching Lewis and I am enjoying a Gibson's Rare on the rocks. I would love to see a moth like that Kath. I have never seen one except in pictures. Goodnight all.

Good morning, didn’t pack wellies but I need them. Dogs refused point blank to go on the patio to wee so he had to get his mac on again after getting his croissants and take them to the field. Spaniel will only wee on grass! Picky madam. I’ll have to buy a couple of yards of artificial turf.I usually see those hummingbird moths here in summer on the plumbago, they love it. It’s really not warm enough here yet, no cigales either.

Morning!I sewed a bikini top last night! In the coolest fabric too, never thought I'd make a swim suit.
It's warm and clammy here today, I wish we could have a bit of rain just to clear the air. It's cloudy at least so not as hot as it has been, it's been a lovely couple of weeks.
I'm thinking of signing up for the local 10k on the 20th, my toe is not bothering me anymore and my Dr friend had a look at it on Saturday after we went for an 8k run, she wasn't overly concerned stating that if it was broken I probably couldn't have run 8k on it :o)
I expect she's right, Jud.My iPad is being an absolute pig today. I'm going to have to start considering a replacement.
Teaching French was fun. Not being sarcastic, either.
Tomorrow, I'm covering three or four teachers. Not sure of the details yet.
Wednesday and Thursday, I've been asked to cover in secondary. Science, I think.
Over an hour til bus time. I'm bored and wanna go home.

Forgot to say, got my scan at 1.45, I assume they will be able to say if the diagnosis is right, but then don’t know how long it will take for the injection. Annoyingly, half way to work I realised I forgot to pick my medication up, but was picking a colleague up, or I’d have turned round for them. How cool Jud - I think your Dr friend might be right, if you could do that kind of distance on it. Glad you enjoyed teaching French Patti, good luck with whatever you get to cover this week.

Annoyingl..."Well, even that couldn't be simple!! First I had to convince her to scan the right part of my foot - it said lump, so she assumed my bunion. After convincing her, she then started squeezing my foot, so very painful. After she finished, she informed me that she would produce a report within 5 days, so I should hear from my doctor in a week - I questioned that as it wasn't the doctor who referred me, so was told whoever referred me would get the report, and I should hear within a week!!

Is the heat affecting the pup Benjamin? Mines not a sun worshipper, I found him inside in the spare room, lying spragged out on the bed. Good job I put an old sheet on there to keep the cover clean. Just back from lunch, my head is spinning, must be something I ate😁

That’s a dogs mission, eat something stupid and cause the maximum worry to their servants. Usually on a bank holiday. Yours mis-timed that then this week. Mine didn’t here at Pentecost.

Morning all, cool again. Quiet day in the office, not a single colleague is in the whole day. Had to stand in an odd position to grab the cat last night, my foot went a bit tingly and still feel odds today.

Good morning, I hate slugs. We practically never see them here in France but it’s been so wet I’ve seen a couple of huge one in the wall. Hope the geckos eat them. I’ve got an ants nest in the flower tub they are really tiny miniature ants, dogs are fascinated watching them. Our old dog Jess used to run off in the woods and stop at the same tree to watch those really big wood ants going up and down, she’d stay there for ages just looking, I don’t mind so long as they aren’t in the house then I get antsy😀
I don't like ants, I was sitting in the garden once and one bit me where no one should be bitten, especially by an ant.

I read Reading as reading. Much better idea. Will your blood test, made me think about my elderly Italian neighbours (the godfather & his lovely wife). She waits on him hand and foot, anyway he’s been needing blood transfusions recently and I cheekily told him he needed some female blood next time, then he could get his own breakfast and help Anna a bit more. She laughed so much, he raised his hand to her, I really riled him. He pinched me really hard as I was leaving the old bugger did.

Morning alls. Lovely day here again - has improved since sunrise when the sun was trying hard not to peek out from behind the clouds. Got him though, with a lone gull in shot too!
