I never fancy eating anything I've baked.
I'm sure Dave will be happy to give a verdict when he gets home.

Fingers crossed.

Just mail them here; we'll take care of them. Amazing how much food three grown children consume.

Fingers crossed."
Do please post when you're home safe!

I can't abide coconut. Sticks in your teeth.
Hoping to visit a garden today. It has a teashop. I like it already.

First time I've made them. Amazing how easy they are.

Having determined that the 70 year old bloke suffering delusions had no physical issues, the hospital chucked him out. In fairness, his social work team are as appalled as we are - he had been promised a bed on the psychiatric unit.

Having said that, back home no one starts planting outside until after May two-four weekend, no maybe it's about right."
Finished! They don’t go out for another three or four weeks Patti. Grown on in a heated poly tunnel first. Traditionally seasonal stuff like bedding wouldn’t be put out in Scotland until well into June, even nearly July. Late frosts n that

I need some help folks.
Dave's nephew is getting married this summer. As far as I know, they haven't registered anywhere.
What the heck do I get as a gift?

Morning... ehhh... afternoon.
I'm just sitting down to a salad, I'm being good with my pennies and bringing lunch to work everyday. Must get out for a walk though, it's gorgeous out there.
Sorry to hear about your heart attack Will, was it fairly recently? Hope you got to work okay!

I have managed to get an interview for tomorrow. Wish me luck!"
Hope it goes well Lindsay

Thank you very much.
Looks like Dexter wants me to do well too, he slept until 7am!!!!!

If you'll forgive me LA but that's not the most attractive flower I've ever seen :) Impressive stature though
Seems to be a bit dull here today, can't hear any wind so maybe it's not too chilly (it's still coming from the east when it blows)
Have a good day all

Good luck Lindsay

Seems to be a bit dull here today, c..." Forgiven, but even my brilliant photography can't capture the true wonderousness. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and all that! We still can't get over the fact we planted it as a 6" baby 12 years ago and this is the first year it's done anything like this.

LA, most agaves are monocarpic. That means they die when they've flowered. Look out for new shoots at the base.
Intermittent internet present - at the moment!

Has the local paper knocked you up yet?

Morning everyone.
I went for a run last night, it bothered my toe a bit but it seems fine today so I'm not too worried. I'm 98% certain it isn't broken.

Intermittent internet present - at the moment!" Thanks for the happy news Kath!! We can't get near the base because of the leaves of the offshoots the main guy, now standing at over 2 metres, has already produced. Maybe they will survive and the main one will die back. We'll be keeping fingers crossed and hoping that all survive!

The flower pics taken..." Not so far Patti, still waiting for the request for permission to use the tweet pics. They did for a pic i got of a deer on the beach a couple of years ago, but not interested in the Triffid so far. Maybe it's not as unusual as we think it is. Even the Lost Gardens of Heligan likes it!!

Lovely sunny day here today.
Your triffid reminds me of our day at the Welsh National Botanical Gardens a couple of weeks ago, LA. Fabulous main glass house featuring plants from arid regions all over the world and most of them about four times the size of the ones we've imported here.
Best of luck, Lindsay. May your day be stress-free, Will.

The phrase 'knocked you up' has a fairly specific meaning in the UK Patti... Rosemary might well need a stiff whisky to recover from the thought!

Wow!!

https://www.goodreads.com/photo/group......" I did wonder about that too! not for long ..... the stiff drink helped!!

The only meaning it has back home is to make pregnant!
I do enjoy adapting my language usage, though.

I think the interview went well. They asked me back for a.second interview before I left the first interview!
I now also have a phone interview for another position next week!
Thank you all for the positive thoughts, they definitely helped.

My spot on the gardening programme turned out fine, I even managed to watch without squirming. The kids were great.

Where can we see the programme, Rosemary?
Good morning!
Baku absolutely reeks this morning. It often smells of rotten eggs or bleach. Today it's like someone poured petrol over the balcony.
So much for airing the flat before it gets too hot.
