This is the story of Lauren and Arthur. Lauren is doctor in San Francisco who is a coma after an accident. Arthur is an architect who rents her vacant apartment. One day, Arthur finds Lauren crying in the closest --- turns out that Arthur is the only person that can see and talk to Lauren. If this sounds familiar it is because the story was turned into a movie Just Like Heaven with Reese Witherspoon. While there are a lot of similarities, the books is a bit different and does delve deeper into Arthur's past.

I enjoyed the story (and liked the movie). It was quick paced but you definitely had to suspend disbelief. Despite being written by a French man, it reads like a typical "chick-lit" book (I do not mean this in a derogatory way, as I do enjoy this genre from time to time). I also really enjoyed the San Francisco and northern CA setting as that is where I leave.
