SOLVED. Fictional Biography where the Devil tells all his life stories throughout human history? [s]

This is a nonlinear fiction story about the devil told in the first person. It jumps around through time as the devil tells a variety of his recreation stories throughout human history. One story he is a record producer in the 1970's, in another he is a reality tv producer at the turn of the century, in another he is an American colonist and falls in love with a Native American, in another he is an Egyptian pharaoh. All the stories start out hopeful and promising with the devil looking to shed his evil ways and find happiness among man but each story ends in tragedy driving him to rage and solidarity. Such a wonderful read but I cannot remember the damn name of it.

What about Up Jumps the Devil, Michael Poore? I read his Reincarnation Blues, and now I'm halfway through this book. Some parts really sound like it, from your description.
