I'm reading Days of Magic, Nights of War at the moment, but I have The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle on stand-by for if I get through that.
Not to mention the slow progress I'm making with The Drug & Other Stories.

I did. I think it depends on your expectations though. What is does well is create atmosphere. A fairy tale of a homespun backwoods variety, of sensible grandmothers and forest spirits. Most of my enjoyment was seeing the protagonist come into her own and showing us that world. However, I think the ending was on the weak side, since I didn't find the external conflict as compelling. YMMV of course. :)
