Theory: the reason they haven’t made it or kotlc yet is because if there’s even a single mistake the fans will be furious. We’re too scary 😂
Yeah We are. We could sue then and never watch them again if they made any tiny mistake. Hair, eyes, clothes...
True that. I get miffed at the hp movies some time and Rowling made those fantastic! We do not speak of the Percy Jackson movies.
@Linh the PJO movies should definitely not be spoken ofHow great are the lunar chronicle books? I read Renegades and ArchEnemies and have wanted to read Cinder, but my library doesn't have it
@Reagan, They are fabulous!!!! It’s one of those that has you yelling at the characters by the end.
Hunt them down it’s worth it!

@Reagan Your library has Renegades & ArchEnimies but not Cinder? That sounds sad. (I think that if there are prequels and sequels, there should be the original)It's super fun, by the way. One character does die, if you aren't okay with that. I loved it!
Well if there’s know movie I will cry even if they ABSOLUTELY fail at it! I’d rather then try then not try.

I agree, I just don't know how they'd be able to fit that book into a movie, and I can't think of a better ending than the one Messenger came up with.

they'd have to split it into several movies, the final ending would be the same, but they'd have to find a perfect ending for each of the other movie parts.I mean, if they can't turn a short book (like the hobbit) into just one movie, and KotLC is bigger than that, they'd have to have parts for it.
Model:
KotLC-They could fit this into one movie if they cut some school, but that would probably get a lot of protests, and most of the time they're in school, there's important things going on anyway.
Exile-They would have to cut a lot of training with Silveny and Dex-time. That would make everyone even angrier, but splitting it would make the movie drag on. (we'd also loose some Keefe-time, I'd cry)
Everblaze-They would probably split into two; Fintan's memory break and Mt Everest.
Etc.
This has nothing to do with this conversation but it said random facts and THIS is a random fact:If Dex is underrated clap your hands *clap clap* If Dex is underrated clap your hands *clap clap* If Dex is underrated and Shannon hasn’t compensated if Dex is underrated clap your hands *clap clap*

I just don't know if team Keefe has a chance after falshback.
Here's some facts for ya'll.1. If Keefie or Foster-Keefe or whatever you're supposed to call it becomes a thing, Fitz is going to be really upset.
2. Everyone will have to be happy in the end, including Fitz. That's the kind of book series Shannon Messenger is writing.
3. Changing the ship... and then making Fitz happy..... that will take forever!
4. The book series is long enough already. It needs to end soon.
5. Frankly, every one (most) says that Keefe is better for Sophie because he has more character developement already. And I say--- EXACTLY. He has character development more than Fitz.... that means that Fitz needs more, and this is the opportunity!
I will be FINE if it doesn't end up with Fitzphie. But I can't guarantee how much longer this book series will be able to drag on without becoming boring and lengthy. Just facts.
That's why I ship Fitzphie.

Hmm.... I agree, but if everyone needs to be happy in the end, how is Keefe going to be happy?? I feel like Shannon has somehow subtly made it clear how deep Keefe's feeling for Sophie really are(even just in the little things. Like when Linh was first introduced and Fitz and Dex would be all "ooh! ahh!" over her, Keefe knew who his girl was). Idk, I feel like that even though Sophitz is strongly being hinted at becoming real, I really doubt that Shannon Messenger will keep it till the end.
There are too many things I see that'll just keep it from working out. Like I don't think Fitz really, truly loved Sophie the way Keefe does. In the extra scene from Fitz's POV at the end of Flashback, (view spoiler)
Anyway, that was my little rant HAHAHA!!😅 I guess we won't know till the next release!!
You made some excellent points there, Penny. This is somewhat unrelated but one thing everyone is making into a bigger deal is Sophie's unmatchable-ness. For me, I knew she was unmatchable before she went-- AND ALL YOU DID TOO, you just hadn't thought about it that way.The reason for match making is so that you don't marry someone you're related to. BUT that purpose is lost on Sophie because they don't know who her birth parents are. THEY DON'T KNOW WHO SHE IS RELATED TO, because she doesn't know her birth parents.
She is unmatchable because you can't "match make" her, if match making is a means to keep someone from marrying a relative, which it is made clear it is.
There you go. That's MY little rant.
And who knows? Her birth parents may fix this whole tricky ship argument. Maybe she'll be related to Fitz or Keefe and it'll solve it. Or maybe not. The point is, it's a simple reason, and everyone makes a huge deal out of it.
I'm excited for her unmatchable status because yes, we knew it was coming, but what we don't know are the reactions of everyone to her unmatachable status. I'll know something is coming in the book, but I don't know all the tiny details- the how, and the why, and all that. And that's what I love about books. Alll the details. Also, I want to know the detail of who her parents really are; the matchmaking concept means we have to find out her birth parents and how they played into Project Moonlark. Matchmaking also means that should Sophie's genetics work and she become matchable, we find out who's on her list and who's on other people's lists ans the matchmaking packet, which opens up the self discovery Sophie experiences for figuring out her own feelings (and perhaps even how Keefe ties into her life!). All in all, I'm very excited for Legacy.
Vivien Mavis says: She is unmatchable because you can't "match make" her, if match making is a means to keep someone from marrying a relative, which it is made clear it is. See, I realized this way after reading the book, and never before had I felt so stupid HAHAHHA🤣 Honestly, I hadn't totally been expecting Sophie to register in the first place
WOOAAHH that's be so crazy if she was related to one of them!!! Now there's a thought....that really would clear things up because no way would Fitz ever marry her if she was his long lost cousin or smth......and the Vacker family is very extensive......hmm interesting thought!
Yesss same, I cannot WAIT for Legacy!

Very good points all of you. Now it's my turnSophie's unmatchable-ness thing shouldn't be solved. If it is, the solution, as we've all been saying would be finding Sophie's biological parents. What we know about them:
They did not know each other/had no connection to each other.
They have important reasons for remaining anonymous.
Telling Sophie their identities could "topple the Elvin world".
They wish they could be a part of Sophie's life.
They were not a part of the Black swan.
So obviously, if revealing them to Sophie would "topple the Elvin world", Mr. Forkle won't and shouldn't be doing that. Also, being a Sokeefe shipper, I know that Keefe wouldn't care if Sophie was matchable or not. Fitz is a pretty unsure subject. He probably won't care if he's a bad match, but bringing disgrace to his family name could pitch in along with some other things. But overall I'm mostly convinced he won't care.
But I also feel that Sophie becoming matchable will make this problem seem like a side conflict. It doesn't look like that's what Messenger's going for. We might find out in the ninth book or whatever, but I'm pretty sure her parents won't be revealed unless for a more crucial reason than just wanting to register for the match.

Oooh, good points!! That's all very true👏🏼 And WHOA hazel blue?! That'd definitely be something no one's seen before!!
Okay guys, this is kind of gross but also horrifying but also interesting so obviously I have to share:Alden is like 100 years older than Della, but they still got married. So, technically, Sophie could marry Mr. Forkle and it wouldn't be weird.
EWWWWWWWWWWWWW!

What the......blech!!😂 That is sooo crazy!!! It's kind of funny how elves make such a big deal out of being a bad match, but being centuries apart in age is fine! I guess that's what happens when you have insanely long life spans😂 Plus, the relationship between sophie and Mr Forkle is already so father/daughter-like, that'd just be WEIRD🤢
