Not really. He started searching for Sophie when he was 6, I believe.

Fitz also had tremendous pressure and reputation to uphold which the other elves didn't. Like Keefe? He decided to rebel. And Biana was overshadowed by fitz (which i say she was lucky- no one wants to be perfect all the time AND FITZ WAS PROTECTING HER FROM THAT AFTER IT WAS PUSHED ONTO HIM BY ALVAR >:00000 )

that's valid; but those were PAST mistakes; people(not you, but a lot of others) shouldn't bring that up just to bash him. THEY WERE PAST, AND THEY WERE FIXED, SO MOVE ON.

that's valid; but those were PAST mistakes; people(not you, but a lot of others) shouldn't bring that up just to bash him. THEY WERE PAST, AND THEY WERE FIXED, SO MOVE ON.
I mean, Fitz has some traits that a lot of people don’t like. But all the other characters have some bad sides too! People just want a character to trash on, so they choose him because he’s the easiest. Also, he’s a teenage boy, so he can’t be expected to be perfect. Readers were complaining that he was too perfect, so Shannon gave him some traits that made him a 3 dimensional character! Fitz is pretty much the most relatable character.
