Kim had a small fire going in the heart of the woods, the smoke billowed up from amidst the trees. The campfire, had a large bucket of water next to it, a stick and then a second bucket on the opposite side. Large rocks surrounded the wood and the dirt seemed to have been raked so there was no brush or leaves.Kim whistled melodically sitting inside her tent peering out carefully. Trying to look inconspicuous. There was a hurt animal out here, and it had been spotted by some hikers. She just hopped she could lure it out, to tend to it. The food laying on the log a few paces away was also a bait for the beast. A dog of sorts, but the hikers couldn’t be specific on if it was a coyote or someone’s pet dog. But they just noticed an injury on it shoulder blade of blood and a slight limp. She was concerned that the Andrew become infected and kill the dog. So she had her bag with medicine as well as some tools to sterilize and sew up the injury but first she had to sedate creature so she could tend to it.

Kim stared at her and sighed. “ I mean absolutely no disrespect Sheriff, but if you want to arrest know you’re going to have to wait. It’s getting close to sunset and that’s usually when the animals come out. And I’m looking for particular injured one. Just as you’re trying to do your job I have to do mine and I can’t leave hurt animal unattended to.” Her voice was firm but not harsh just uncompromising. She couldn’t leave an animal to be hurt out here and possibly get a horrible infection that would kill them. “I’m a veterinarian.” She added as if an afterthought making her realize that that was her job.

Kim smirked. The rumors of the sheriff were true, she was a softy. Not in the typical way that meant they were a pushover, just that she had more of a conscience then other people. She was pretty sure the former Sheriff would’ve of well… been a lot more aggressive. “I will when it shows up but if you keep standing around I’m going to have to camp here all night so either sit down and get downwind or back away in that direction which is also down wind. Animals only come out around sunrise and sunset.“

A loud exhale followed by a roll of the eyes tjat made it evident she didn’t care. “I said this already before...” Kim spoke in a deadly serious tone. Her expression severe and dark. The sort of look an animal gives when warning that they will attack if pressed further. “I. Am. Not. Leaving. Until the injured animal is found. I don’t care what consequences or punishment there is, but if you try and stop me, I’m going to be forced to resist.” She threatened. She wasn’t kidding, this animal was obviously very important to her. And this annoyingly frustrating human was going to keep her from finding the poor creature! Her fists were clenched tightly on her lap.

Kim would’ve protested or resisted but she was completely shocked by the woman Offering to get the animal. She wasn’t sure she should believe her but for some reason she did. “I have to have my bag...” She reached for the bag that would contain the medicine for the shot that she intended to give the animals will the stitching and whatever else there might be. “How do you plan to find the creature?”

Kim sighed. And grabbing the bag offered her the syringe with the substance inside. “This will kill infection, but the animal will still need to be looked at, cleaned and probably sown up as well as see if there is any other conditions.” She resigned to let her arrest her if she truly was going to bring her the animal. That’s all Kim seemed to care about.((So sorry for the delay! It was my dads birthday this weekend. We were super busy! XD ))
((Friendly reminder, also starting tomorrow I’ll be gone for a week I’ll still try and get on but the odds are probably won’t be on much if at all))

Kim wasn’t happy about having a trial, she cared little for the court system as she didn’t believe it even worked, but she nodded snd toon her hand. “Deal.” So she was off to jail now, well as long as the animal was alright, that is all that really mattered.
