Cool, thanks. I’ll check out Burial Ground while we’re waiting for Subhuman. Sounds like a good story!
Welcome to HA, Mike!!!
For all those new to Michael's work, I can't think of anything I've read of his that I WOULDN'T recommend.

Plus, next week is holiday, so I hope I will be able to squeeze in some extra reading time :)
Michael, one of the first questions that I always ask is about the cover, and I love the cover of Subhuman. What can you tell us about it? Who did the design and artwork? How much control do you have in the design?
Hi, Michael! I think it's great that you are doing this for us. I already read (and loved) Subhuman. Thank you, Netgalley! And thank you, Michael for getting your work out there for all of us to enjoy! Looking forward to the discussion.
The cover was designed by Lou Malcangi. He's an in-house designer for Kensington. (I had the opportunity to meet him and he's a great guy who absolutely loves what he does. Believe it or not, he got his start doing Sweet Valley High covers!) He and my editor worked together to design the cover. I didn't see it until the approval phase, but I was blown away. It's probably a blessing I wasn't involved as I would only have screwed things up. Have you seen the cover for the second book, Forsaken?
Bill! It's been too long. I'm glad Subhuman worked for you. And I'm only able to get my work out there because of people like you. It's a pretty sweet arrangement.
I enjoyed my ARC of this. Have you begun writing the second book yet? This is the kind of series that gets better as the characters become a team.https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Awesome! Thanks, Lena! The second book is called Forsaken and it comes out 4/28/18. And you're totally right, I'm working on book three now, and this is where the team really comes together.

I still can't get over Snowblind & Snowblind II, Loved it!! And thank you so much for doing the author read with us!! :)

Show me a cover with snow and ice on it and I just have to check it out...I love books with a double chilling effect!
I read this earlier this month as I got it from Netgalley. I really did enjoy it! Will be looking through this as others read it, hope it's a good reading time! :)

Adam and Marie: I hope you like the book and look forward to hearing your thoughts.Stephanie: Thank you! You rock!
Lena: You'll see. :)
I'm picking up my copy today - hoping to find it at a new independent bookstore I just discovered here! B&N is my fallback if not. Either way, I'll send you pictures, Mike. So glad you're doing an author invite read! My copyediting schedule has eaten most of my free reading time this year, but I'm NOT missing this one! 😊

The independent one looks interesting, but it's a small store with a broad focus, so their genre selection is quite limited. Looks like Amazon here I come! 😊
