Hi Tiffany! Unlike normal profiles, the number shown in an author's URL (in your case 14737283 ) is the author ID.Your user ID on the site is 6881097, so this should be working. Are you using the author widget, or one of the widgets found here? Can you please link me to your blog so I can look into this?
I was using the Wordpress widget. It asked for the User ID # found in the link, but when I used my 6881097 number, it was invalid (likely because it says 'author' instead of 'user' as it might be set up to link the number to). So when I used the 14737283 number, the widget linked it to this person's account:{Link removed]
I used the actual Goodreads widget that you link for me and it's working using the html setup! So thank you!
I'm glad it's working for you! If you're using a WordPress blog you may experience some issues in the future as these don't support JavaScript, which our widgets need to run correctly. If this happens, it might be best to revert to the WordPress widget. Unfortunately, as that widget was built by WordPress engineers and not Goodreads staff, we can't investigate or fix any problems with it so if you do end up using it, and experience further problems, I'd suggest contacting WordPress support – I'm sorry we can't help more with this!
Added note: You'll probably notice that I removed the link from your comment above, this is because we don't allow linking to other profiles in our official groups. 😊
Oops, sorry! But yeah, that was the profile it was linking my account to even though the number is the same, but mine has 'author' in the link instead.And, I noticed the GRs widget wasn't working right. :( Bummer.

My blog's goodreads widget is not accepting 17144961 as my user id number. Can you please help me with the right one?

I was having the same issue. If you're using Wordpress, their (Goodreads) widgets are not compatible, and if you are an author, our User ID's don't work. My User ID seems to belong to someone else when you change 'author' to 'user' in the link, so when I use that ID in Wordpress, it links the books to someone else's profile.

I wish I could have my wordpress blog appear on my author's page on Goodread's as well. Maybe Goodreads could fix this situation for authors who use wordpress for our blog.
I know readers should be bale to see what we write on our blogs.

Hi James! You're welcome to provide a link to your Wordpress blog under the "official website" field when editing your author profile details. You can find this page by navigating to your author profile and clicking on "edit author profile" next to your name.

I was working on my blog and adding the Goodreads widget to my sidebar, but when I put in my User ID number, the books displayed are not the ones I've read or are reading.
This is the US # on my page: 14737283
The number that appears on my author page is 6881097, but that comes up with nothing on the widget.
