Tamara | 271 comments He's said (I think it's on his website) there are 2, or maybe 3? arcs in this series, with each arc focusing on a different set of characters. You can see it already in the books so far, where one or more characters is more prominent than the rest. So 1 and 2 were more about Kaladin, and 3 is more about Dalinar. The arcs apparently do this to a greater extent.

Character arcs then. Thanks.

I'm at the 73% mark in "Wind and Truth." While Dalinar's quest is the main thread there are certainly an array of character threads going on. Sanderson is amazing at keeping these different themes from being confusing.

Quite the marathon this. 1330 pages. A strong single thread to keep the story going, but with lots of other character interactions and mini-tales weaved around the main thread. For as long as this book is, Sanderson does a good job of breaking up the read to keep one interested. And given the many characters with their spren and alternate personalities, Sanderson manages to keep the reader from getting confused.

The basic concept again is good versus evil. Lots of interesting battles both small and large and with twists. Fun and games in the Cosmere.
