I do not cry often when reading books but there are 3 books in the Malazan series that made me sob (Deadhouse Gates, MoI and Toll the Hounds), not even counting all the teary eye moments in the rest of the series.

HoC is not as good, I agree, but I loooved Midnight Tides!

Last night finishedFool's Fate. This is my favorite book of the series so far and Tawney Man is my favorite subseries from the overall so far. I now feel like I have a giant hole in me since the series is over. So good that I'm emotionally wounded.
