How was this book, Miche? I know there's a movie coming out based on it. It looks cute.

It is very cute. I liked the story, but the epistolary execution fell a bit short. The letters were from several characters, but most of them had the same voice. More than once I went back to the header of the letter to remind me who had penned the letter.
I still read it in one sitting, so I can say I enjoyed it. :)

Hmmm, maybe I'll just wait for the movie then. lol

I will totally watch the movie with a box of tissues on my side! :)
Petrik wrote: "That's exactly what I wanted! Thank you so much. I have include my manga read for the year so far. 106 points added! :D"Oh boy! That's quite the point boost :o
Well done, TBR Demon :)
Just finished The Undead Pool. It's been over 2 years since I read the last book. I forgot how much I love this series. One more book and another series done!

I love Hollows too. I recommend the prequel (The Turn). She's also working on a new one that's technically another book in the series, so you won't be finished with it after the next one lol.
From what I've gathered, she's been bummed for a couple years because the Drafter series isn't doing as well and publishers won't "let her produce anything she wants" so now she's back to writing Hollow because a gal's got to eat lol.

:-O I mean, I hate when authors continue a series just for a paycheck, but on the other hand, I love the series so hell yeah I'll still read it.
Virginie wrote: "Aaaand. One more UF series I need to read."I highly recommend it. I really love this series. There's a couple books in the middle where it went through middle of series syndrome, but mostly it's been really good.
Yeah it kind of annoys me too. But you know I'll read it. The weird things is that it's going to take place timeline wise before the epilogue in the final book.

Great job, Petrik! You're really going through all of her works :)
Is her novella a good place to start?

Absolutely. I started from her novella too, it's a good place to get a feel on whether you'll like her works or not! :)

I am, after all, half-khmer! ;)
Diana Stormblessed wrote: "Great. Another book added to my the list."
I'm cheating and only adding her novella to my TBR. All the rest will get added if I end up liking it!
You know you have a problem when you have to devise stratagems to beat the TBR Demon xD

That's a good idea! Asian-inspired fantasy is always a plus for me. Not that I dislike it but I'm getting a bit tired of Medieval European setting in adult fantasy; there's too much of them.
Hahaha adding just the novella is a good idea though, that's what I did at first too! But then I end up reading through all her books xD
Mmmh. If you want something different from the usual Medieval setting, I recommend reading Martha Well's Wheel of the Infinite & City of Bones. I thought Wheel of the Infinite was very original and refreshing. I haven't read City of Bones yet but the reviews are promising :)

My mood for giant series is finally back. It took 3 months after finishing Hobb's books for the mood to come back! :D
Yeah, well, I had to try xDIt's only fair since you made my Mount TBR grow so much I probably have 2-3 years of reading to turn it back into 'Hillock TBR' x)
Glad to hear you're ready to tackle Malazan! I'll do it in 2019 :D
Great job, team! :)My exams are finally over which means holiday! I hope to get a lot of reading done as I'm behind on basically every BR for this month lol. I may have overbooked myself a little bit...
